Recapping a Monster Stretch of Oklahoma State Football Recruiting

Recapping the past week.

At least we seem to be focused on being a defensive minded team again. Considering our offensive game has been inconsistent for the last five seasons.

Define inconsistent

Define consistent

(in terms of college football offenses)

Rather than just consistent, let’s just say consistently good which is good more often and predictably than bad.

Not being a top 25 offense consistently. Like we were before 2020. Instead, we’ve been lucky to break the top 50. Not to mention our OL woes that have been up and down ever since Wickline left. Instead of hiring a proven G5 OC. Hiring a WR coach as an OC in which it would take a month or longer for him to adjust. A guy that might score a touchdown one game, and maybe 30+ points the next. Those kinds of inconsistencies.

Having a top 25 producing offense like we used to. Having an OC that knows more than five plays. Having an OC that can actually read a defense. Having an OC that can match his QB’s strengths to the playbook. Having an OC that doesn’t continuously run something for a month hoping for a different result. Having an OC with a legitimate red zone offense.

If claiming to be a current top 25 program. Actually coaching like you have one. Not just getting paid like you are one. Actually doing something of real merit when you say “we have a logo too!!”. Not just talking the talk, but actually walking the walk.

Hey champ,

For a guy that thinks fired coaches are garbage, you shouldn’t have had to call your doctor about your eleven year erection for Joe Wickline who just bounced around and out of college ball altogether.

And still gave us our best offensive lines at OSU :man_shrugging:. While Dunn struggled to get a top 50 offense, and Dickey decided to take every other year off :man_shrugging:.

Bradford broke a hip and will miss the year and they aren’t sure about a complete comeback. Course youth cures lots of things

Tell us all how great Wickline was after he left OSU , how many stops and championships did he win. He went to Texas where they have way more talent than here. Tell us his story Joe

Why would an OSU fan care? He left.

Hey champ,

Ask your best friend.

Ask your fellow GDS-sufferer. I’ve seen people get over their high school girlfriends faster than bill has gotten over Joe Wickline.

Hey champ,

You’re so close to having a new thought, but you’re like a a ten year old iPhone and your GDS operating fills your entire brain capacity and yoi only have room for the four existing thoughts. :frowning:

Who have we had since Wickline that’s been better?

Hey champ,

Are you a cartoon character? How did this come from the same person in consecutive posts? I guarantee no one would be talking about a position coach from over ten years ago who hasn’t even coached in five years if bill didn’t bring him up weekly if not daily. The game isn’t even the same as it was 10 years ago. It’s crazy that your freaking folk hero is a guy that lied and tried to screw the university out of money. He’s a low character human being… and it just dawned on me why you guys identify with him.

I don’t think they are cartoon characters. I do think they are distracted by the crimson dildo they ride.

Tell me if we’ve had an offensive line coach since Wickline that’s given us yearly consistency? The only one I can remotely think of that can even come close was Josh Henson.

It’s better than having an abundance of excuses to think about :man_shrugging:.

Then hire someone who can give you consistency at that position. It’s as simple as that genius . You are the kind of person that gives Gundy credit for hiring people like Jim Knowles, but rarely says a word about the bad hires. Actually hire people that can prove to make the situation better. Not people who can’t decide if they want to make it better or not.

His contract said he could leave to be a coordinator. Who was listed as offensive coordinator at Texas in 2014?

Hey champ,

That was all fake. They listed him as a coordinator specifically to try and skirt his contract, but he was not calling plays, so it was bunk. This is why they settled, so yes, you just described how he was a dirtbag.
