The Huskies could join the Big 12 as early as 2026.
That would further solidify the B12 as the premier basketball conference. But that football program would be a complete drag on the conference–I don’t see them ever being competitive.

Yeah I’m respectful of what Yormack has done for this conference but I’m not seeing it with this addition. Maybe i’m missing something but they are far far away in football which is the absolute driver in this whole show.

Football may be the driver for realignment, but we’re not adding them as a football member. We would add them as a member in every sport but football. Adding them doesn’t hurt us any; however, it completely solidifies us as the best basketball conference, which actually is worth something as far as conference stability goes.

It’s not all about football. It’s all about money.
Should add UConn and Gonzaga in all sports about basketball. 18 team basketball conference that will unarguably be number one.
Bad news for OsU. Have to beat Kansas, Houston and UConn to win Big 12. It will never happen. Who cares that you have the best conference when you have no chance to be the best in your conference? Boynton understood this.

Let’s worry about beating teams like ASU, UCF, and Utah before any of the actually good teams.
