It’s on par with some of the recent Big 12 hires.

I was estimating that his contract would be more in the 4.5 to 5.0 million range.

On a different note what is Penn St doing? No coach. They signed 2 players Wednesday?!

I don’t know who I feel worse for, Penn St or UNT. Both are going to have an unreal drop off next season (unfortunately all of us can relate)

Not one $ec or b1o team to feel sorry for - e$pn pays them well and gives them a flood of free advertising creating a huge recruiting advantage for them. Talk about thumbs on a scale…

 any good psu players heading for the Portal? Especially DL, heck all defensive players.

I don’t feel bad for UNT. Did Buckeye fans feel bad for Oklahoma State when they got Knowles? Did LSU feel bad for OSU fans when they got Miles? Did Hurricane fans feel bad for OSU when they got Jimmy Johnson?
Do other schools fans feel bad when they swipe a committed recruit on signing day?

Iowa State coach Matt Campbell has emerged as the focus of Penn State’s head coaching search, sources told ESPN on Thursday.

Penn State is in discussions with Campbell about its vacancy after initiating contact with him Wednesday. Both sides are early in the process, and any hire at Penn State will require additional steps and board approval.

Kansas State coach Chris Klieman told his team he plans to retire on Wednesday afternoon.

Sources said he told the group it was a family decision that he reached several days ago after a difficult season.

Kansas State officials have made clear that former star quarterback Collin Klein is the target for the job, per ESPN sources. While there have been no formal discussions about a contract for Klein, he’s the clear favorite to come in and take over at his alma mater.

I don’t think there is a question Klein will be named head coach. It’s a formality. If he’s the coach I think he will make it tougher in the B12
