You need to get a life. Tell me how many good offensive lines we’ve had since Wickline left? Yea….outside of maybe Josh Henson being here that’s been one of the largest issues since the 2013 season. Btw, UNLV was 5th in rushing offense this season. This hires looks a lot more promising than rehiring fired or demoted coordinators .
One conference title in 20 years. Who’s been here the entire time?
Did you ever notice how nobody is hiring Gary Patterson as a HC anywhere? Hmmm….i wonder why .
I hope they kept Woz ? He’s one that earned his pay. We have had good backs the last few years
Same as your idol Briles ,
Your take that no good OL coaches since your throwback Wickline ( who flamed out after he left here ) there must have been something positive here … Hill, Chuba , Ollie did well to not have had a coach
All those guys are in the NFL because of their special abilities. Not because we’ve been churning out NFL lineman. You might want to think a little harder next time.
Hey champ,
What’s a good offensive line? We had two rushers that led the nation in rushing since Wickline left. How many other schools can say that?
What happened to that offensive line this year?
Wisconsin
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rb that could run with no line. Quit backing up. Tell me thd ones that made it in spite of no OL You’re taking backwater and sinking fast Joe
Own up to it
It was the same exact OL as last season. So what happened to it? Did they just decide all of a sudden they didn’t want to run block for Ollie? So who’s at fault?
Barry Sanders enters the chat… at Detroit
It’s looking that way . We’re gonna need a portal tracker and a coaching tracker .
This is all true (no matter how much the old folks on here don’t want to admit it), but the biggest factor is these are old coaches who have been pretty mediocre their entire careers. Nick Saban, won five titles over the age of 60. Eventually, though, the new frontier of college football proved too much for even him. These guys are not Nick Saban. They’re Gundy’s buddies and half are former teammates. Gundy got called to the carpet and was told he had to make changes. I think fans and the BOR were expecting and wanting new blood, fresh ideas, adaptability. Gundy, being Gundy, did the opposite and doubled-down on clones of him. It may work out (doubt it), but a 6-6 season or 7-5 season or even 8-4 season isn’t going to cut it. If Gundy doesn’t play for the conference title and win at least nine games, he’s probably gone and should be.
Hey champ,
I don’t know, but you said our offensive line has been trash every year, so to prove you wrong and that your complaints are nitpicky and selective, I’m saying we had two years where we had the leading rusher in the nation.
Yes, Wisconsin and also San Diego State, so if you asked me about who had good offensive line play, I’d have to say Wisconsin and San Diego State had strong offensive line play because you aren’t going to have the rushing leader behind a trash line like this year.
I have? Where did I say that in this forum? I’ll be waiting for you to show me. I said we’ve had inconsistency on our OL (which is true). Especially if we’re playing a QB that can’t run the football. Everyone seems to forget that when Sanders was here .
You tell me jackass , might have been Ollie ?
The OL was trash, they were last year. If you don’t have at least a good OL nothing works
Try reading some of the articles. It’s all new blood other than Meachunm. Rattay is gone. McEndoo is gone The whole staff was stagnant. They became too comfortable in their job Now I’m not saying we win. 8 games next year but Vice has been pretty good wherever he’s been. We havd some nice backs. My only regret is losing Dunn for WR coach. He produced year after year there
Who hired the OL coach, and who recruited our OL? And who was fired?
Did Dunn recruit Blackmon or Bryant?
