He had exhausted his eligibility and with the new ruling that players from Juco schools get a year of eligibility he gain one year. I assume because he was done and now he isn’t he’s more of a free agent rather than someone who just entered the portal.

I can see that. I dont have a problem with OSU not being willing to pony up $$ to a Safety, even if hes a starter. I also dont have a problem with a kid hitting the portal to try and make some $$ before he has to likely hang the cleats up for good. Sometimes in this era you hear a fan of a school say “we didnt want him. So we told him to leave”. That definitely happens. But very rarely when its a starter in a situtation like this

I understand that too as poor as we were on defense. Rock bottom. They have sighed or have committed 5-6 corners or safeties so far
But I can’t see this being one of the kids they let go

I agree. If you are trying to stretch your NIL dollar, I understand youre gonna have to pay some guys some $$ that you may not want to. But a safety…no sir. Good luck to ya kiddo

Yea he wasn’t really a weak spot to me. I hope they change their mind but hope he lands on his feet
