Shettron’s OSU career has been riddled with injuries.
…and this portal entry is after HCEM met with and spoke to the team?
As a former teacher at Santa Fe this is disappointing.

I wish him well, but with his history of injuries, it’s going to be an uphill climb.
Any WR transferring right now can’t be the sharpest tool in the shed
What happened to his brother?
Indeed, cause in Morris’ offense you’re gonna see a lot of action unless you’re on 2nd or 3rd team.
Really? Who is our QB?
Mestemaker or Hejny.
Either could be one of the best in the conference
What has Hejny shown that gives you any indication that he can be one of the best in the Conf??
Give Morris some time!
@heychamp
Good luck on getting him to respond. Hes gone crickets.
What had any of Morris’s QBs shown you before his system got a hold of them? Be as negative as you want, but a WR leaving an Air Raid offense is an idiot.
First off, you didnt answer the question about what Hejny has shown that gives you any indication that he can be the best QB in the Conf? But ill answer your question. The QB’s that I give him credit for having the biggest influence on are Ward and Mestemaker. Those guys werent thought very highly of. If you think Hejny can be as productive as either of those, then I have some oceanfront property inside a butthole to sell you. If Hejny is the starting QB for your Cowboys next Fall, then my prediction of them winning 7/8 games will be in major, major trouble.
I didnt say anything about Shettron transferring. But I will now. I wouldnt care one bit if I was an OSU fan. I also dont blame the kid for wanting a fresh start. When youre injury plagued, you want a change of scenery. It happens everywhere.
I will give him some time. I just questioned why Shettron is stupid for entering the portal. It’s nothing really to do with Morris. It could be, but I don’t know that.
We don’t know who the QB is. The pantry’s bare right now. He may have liked/felt comfortable/trusted Gundy and after meeting Morris didn’t feel the same way. Maybe he was told Morris was bringing his WR with him. There are lots of reasons he might want to leave. Either he wants to win something and doesn’t think we will with his remaining eligibility or thinks he won’t get a chance to play or showcase himself.
lol, you need to see who you’re replying to. I never said anything about Hejny. I just basically said I trust this coach and his system. He has proved it works at every level so far. Now it’s time for him to prove it at the power 4 level. At the same time, anyone predicting 8 wins next year is going to get disappointed. We are in the rebuilding of a rebuilding modes, but I feel we hired the right guy for that rebuild.
Nothing, but he has a coach that knows how to develop quarterbacks. Unlike the previous HC that actually played the position at the collegiate level, but was almost an expert at playing the wrong QB. A lot of that depends on WHO is on our QB roster next season as well.
Completely agree. 8 wins next year would be miraculous. That would be going 6-3 in conference (assuming the 2-1 non-conference record due to the Oregon game). Heck, getting to 6-6 and making a bowl game next year, given the depths this program sank to these past 2 years, will be a major accomplishment.
