With all the turnover, the preseason polls should be fun in 2022.
Its as good as any. There has neen so many its as wild as it gets.
Of course, oSu is the only team with a returning starting QB, but even more important, they are the only team with a returning 1st Team All Big 12 QB. That’s really all that needs to be said about Spencer Sanders. Enough of the sweaty palms and hand wringing.
I like it ! You could switch any of the top 3 and probably not be wrong. Sanders is the big point for us. Let’s hope he doesn’t go down
I really do hope we win the conference this year. I still can’t believe it until I see it though. How can we drink the orange koolaid knowing full well that the team in Waco has three conference titles in less than a decade, and the team in Norman, OK has proven time and again they can beat Gundy even when he’s the favorite in the series?
There is one huge factor in what OSU will do this season. That factor is Gundy. Most of the time when a championship is on the wire he’ll find a way to snatch defeat away from the jaws of victory. You think I’m wrong? Then tell me why we have one conference title in 17 seasons? I’m not even so sure once the conference gets watered down if he’ll even win it again. Maybe, we’ll see, but in the meantime Gundy is going to need to prove to me he isn’t afraid to win the conference before I place OSU in a #1 preseason prediction.
Don’t you want to see what your hero Gunnar will do?
Poor joy just doing her usaul blah blah blah. We all wish monkeys will fly out of your ess. We just dnt always post it every 19 minutes.
There ya go joy throwing chit against the wall again… I actually don’t think Gunnar will be bad, the freshman may surprise. He already has this summer you jerk
My thing with OU is what happens if Dillon Gabriel goes down with an injury like last season, sorry but OU is SOL,he’s the only one thats been in that system,Osu my concern is the OL but besides that i think will be stronger with Speedster Johnson being in the outside,& Presley being on inside on one side then you have Blain Green,& Bray on the other side
Having a special season once every 10 years doesn’t automatically constitute a #1 prediction. Remember in 2013 when we were picked o win the conference and found a way to get 3rd?
I think that’s been a concern for most people for nearly a decade now.
My questions for this year are as follows:
- How much of a step back will the D take?
- Will the OL not be a liability for the first time in a while?
- Will Spencer Sanders cut down on the TOs?
First of all, Baylor’s new QB is better than the one who started most of last season. He played the entire Big 12 championship game versus us and was obviously a much better passer than Bohanan.
Gabriel, OU’s new QB, is an established college QB who is a much more accurate passer than Williams, but not as mobile. The real issue with OU is the expected improvement in their defense with Venables as head coach. Also, they host both OkState and Baylor, so they have a scheduling advantage.
OkState should be good again, especially if the new corners hold up and the OLine play is improved. However, the fact that we play on the road against Baylor, KState and OU is extremely concerning. To finish first in the conference, as the writer predicted, we’d have to win at a minimum 2 of those 3 road games. That’s a tough test. We’ll know early, as at Baylor is our first conference game.
Im not encouraging you to cry about it. Blah blah
This is a good set of factors. Along with those is the thing that usually bites us every year and that is injuries especially the OL usually being hyper sensitive to the issue. It seems like just a couple of injuries in that area and we go from being a #1 seed to a #5 or worse.
I’m not crying about it. I’m just saying it’s a stupid assumption to think just because we went to the Big 12 championship and had our best season in 10 years that all of a sudden we’re going to win the conference.
Has one championship in 17 years not taught us anything? If anything history under Gundy has shown us we tend to do worse on a consistent basis when we’re expected to be better.
Joy you do all the time thats it. Thats crying.
That’s called being reasonable Roberto. If you keep proving to me consistently you can’t accomplish something why should I believe you?
You are mental. You are a crier.
Joy before the CC games started how many times did we play for the championship in the last game or two you nitwit
