Take the roster’s page (e.g. Football) and allow users to navigate to articles on a player. For example, one could click Chuba’s name on the roster and it takes you to another page with all of the articles on him. Not necessarily ones in which he is mentioned, but those specifically about him: player profiles, injury reports, etc.
In a similar vain, this would provide a place for player profiles that are so often done on recruits (if they make the team) as well as a place for one-on-one interviews conducted throughout the seasons.
