‘I think for the most part what you saw this weekend, I think those guys are gonna get the first opportunity to wrestle against Drexel.’
Two big surprises from this past weekend. Lockett is still wrestling in a defensive manner. If he continues with this strategy he will be replaced. The guy has so much natural talent but is being wasted on refusal to open up his offense. The second surprise is Mikey. Wow! I did not believe he was going to manhandle Berg the way he did. This guy is a Star in the making and it will be beneficial for our 197 and 174 pound guys to wrestle Mikey in the Room as everyone gets better. Was a little surprised at 174 with Facundo beating the transfer from Stanford. This weight will continue to the contested along with 184 and 141. I thought Raney would win so no big surprise here but Jamison made it a one point match. I don’t know why Sprately didn’t wrestle? Man, Zinklin is another guy who is ready to go this year but will have to wait until Sprat’s time is up in Stillwater…even though I believe Zinklin is ready and more offensive minded.
