As long as we have fans such as yourself saying we can live with 8 wins a season and no less than 4th or 5th in the conference indefinitely I’m sure Gundy, Shrum, and Weiberg will make sure it happens.

If you want to spend another 17 years getting lucky to get a conference title or winning another NY6 bowl then be my guest. I’m of the opinion if we’re going to claim to be top 10 in wins and only second to OU in the conference then we better start putting more merit into the trophy case.

We’re 4-7 against Baylor since 2012. In fact, two of the wins against Baylor were when they had a gauntlet of players transfer out after 2016, and in 2020 when they had 42 players missing from their roster due to COVID. So how in the world without a shadow of a doubt can you say we are the 2nd best team? Conference wins? Okay, maybe so. Conference titles? NY6 bowls? Not so much.

I’ve heard OSU fans haven’t thought about a title at all the last 10 years while Baylor fans have thought about it 30% of the time.

We’ve seen that Gundy can’t win a conference championship even once every 10 years and I’d really like a coach who win it every 5 years. I realize that isn’t as often as Baylor but I don’t think their fans have little brother syndrome. Allowances have to be considered.
I’ve had people tell me that little brother syndrome will go away when OU goes to the SEC but I’m sure we’ll hear about how local kids want to play in the SEC since people will be watching it more.
