What could a coach that’s won multiple championships and is considered the greatest in college football history want from a coach that’s won one conference title in 17 years?

To show his coaches that if you don’t evolve then this is what you’ll end up being…a coach that’s coached for 18 years with one conference title. It will be a good lesson for them.

Ah Jeff finally woke up from a 3 day drunk and gave this wisdom. No need to say we missed you.

I’m sure Joy has missed you she been losing by herself.

Saban wants to learn how to coach and farm at the same time…. Gundy probably scouting out potential NIL players :cowboy_hat_face:

The question should be, why is Gundy going to Alabama when Saban should be coming to OSU?
Who needs to learn from whom?
I suppose Gundy is doing this because he hopes that he can pick Saban’s brain for the 30 seconds that Saban will grant him an audience.
Or Gundy is going down there because they pay their speakers quite well.

Saban reached out to him years ago (when they were both recruiting Sanders) about offense. Saban is smart enough to know what he doesn’t know. Obviously, Gundy is too: look at the D (and his quote about special teams).

Say what you want about Gundy, he’s respected a lot more than you know. How does he get invited to comment on the championship game a few years ago. Joey , Jug , Jeff just don’t like him cause he hasn’t beat the goons enough. Not many have beat them a bunch

Saban didn’t win a conference championship for the first 28 years as a coach. Not until he was at LSU

@mark55 “Saban didn’t win a conference championship for the first 28 years as a coach” Ok, this is misleading at best. Saban shared a Conf Title in his 1st year as a HC in 1990. There was no Conf Champ Game. He then went to the NFL as a DC for 4 years before taking the HC job at MSU. He stayed there for 5 years and never won a Conf. Title. He won the SEC Championship in his 2nd yr @ LSU, which was his 8th yr as a HC. If you want to use your metric of saying it took Saban 28 years to win 1…then Gundy has 1 Conf Championship in 34 years as coach.
