“So, if your guys don’t play well and have a bunch of missed assignments, you failed them. It’s never on the players. It’s on the coaches.”

There you go Roberto. Right out of Gundy’s mouth.

“We’re not changing anything. We just haven’t been able to get that production, so we have to find a way to get that.”

Maybe someone should mention to him that he might want to change something in the 3rd quarter to find some kind of production.

I’m glad ur hero gave u something to talk about

I’m not saying Gundy and this coaching staff do no wrong but I do think a lot of the offensive problems have to do with a very average offensive line and not having any trust in Sanders. Frankly from what I’ve seen of those two groups I agree with their strategy, run the ball play field position and rely heavily on your defense. If not Sanders is going to have multiple turnovers and your going to cost yourself a lot of ballgames.

I don’t disagree with running the ball. What I disagree with is not having multiple formations for running the ball and letting the defense know almost exactly what you plan on doing when you do run the ball.

U know ur rite why can’t our offense rip big yards off like other teams do against our defense.

We allow 2.8 ypc on rushing (12th in the nation) and our 3rd down defense is good (12th in the nation). Sure we have some problems with pass defense but it’s not terrible (61st in the country).

So let’s go look out our offense for a moment. Rushing per game (71st) and Passing per game (83rd). Also our 3rd down completion rate sucks (67th).

Now tell me where a majority of the problem is on this team?

We just need a play book. Gosh darn it

Who’s job is it to recruit offensive lineman? Why have we had below average line play for over ten years and still, yes still have problems? The head coach at the end of the day is the one who sings off on every recruit. The buck stops with him. This long bomb fade throwing scheme is not winning any big twelve championship in my opinion as we have seen since we have been running it. Never going to change so just rinse and repeat. :man_facepalming:

We are all aware of it and so is Roberto trust me.

Gundy coaches scared let’s just say what it is. He’s always worried someone is going to make a mistake because he’s not mature enough or whatever so he drops his playbook to a already blank canvas. It’s like when your young you keep up with styles in clothes to an extent but then you turn 40 and comfort becomes more important than style and you don’t care as much as when you were young so dad jeans come in to play. That’s where gundy was when we won that one big twelve championship o so long ago and this is what you got now…dad jeans. He’s way too comfortable.

After the ISU loss I thought Gundy might not have been concerned enough with the outcome. But listening to him not being able to sleep because of the lack of third quarter production made me realize he is deeply concerned but his self-image does not allow him to show that in public. Only his dog knows how he really feels. That is how it should be between best friends. I appreciate Gundy more now that I know he is working instead of sleeping. But I still think he is grossly overpaid. But I could say that about every football coach these days. I grew up watching sports before tv got more involved and created the inflated contracts based on ridiculous tv rights packages. Sports in America went Hollywood. I was admiring Gundy’s full head of hair on the video but kept thinking how badly he could use a haircut. He certainly can arrange for Kathy to come over to his office or home and give him a trim if he is hard pressed for time. It could serve as a totem for a clean start for the rest of the season. Something has to change even before the third quarters. He actually sounded like he is a bit afraid of playing the Jayhawks.

If we didn’t have a defense I’d be scared being memed for the next decade too. Good thing we have Knowles.

Sarcasm? He’s being serious!!! You’re just to stupid to figure out. When a coach does the same thing over and over again (Like you’ll see in the next six games) that’s not an indicator of sarcasm.

Big 12 title game? Really? Pokes play/coach that way against WV, Tech, TCU and Gundy will be lip smackin excuses and self incriminating remarks again.
Hey I have an idea, let’s give him a raise and then he won’t have to worry about money so he can concentrate on winning.

Here’s your sarcasm idiot !! You’re just too stupid, too stupid to know the difference
