That tends to happen every year when you continue development and increase your total defense ratings by every year. This has been our total defense rankings the last two seasons:
2022- 115th
2023- 122nd
Had it not been for Knowles we would’ve never played for a conference title in 2021. Had it not been for us having the fourth easiest schedule in the country I doubt we would’ve last year either. Stop blowing smoke up your own arse, and admit the actual factors of why we were even in the CCG in the first place.
You’re the one that said before the season last year “I think we’ll be pretty good on defense”. We still ended up being one of the top 10 worst defenses in the country. Don’t shuffle and change your position now.
Even when Knowles had a young defense his first season it wasn’t that bad. At least he could finish in the top 100. Knowles was 97th, and Nardo was 122nd. That’s with us being a primarily running team last season. When Knowles was the DC we were still airing it out.
You guys continue to be hypocritical on Knowles when all evidence points to him being better (so far) than any DC we’ve had since 2013. Tell me how close we’ve been to winning a championship since 2013? Can you name the year and who our DC was? Yep……that’s what I thought.

Utah gave up 82 yards a game rushing. There saying they were great. I point out one thing they play baylor which were the worst in average and 15th in yards. They ran for 120 yards and 4.3. Bill i will leave these so you can close it out. Remember utah was a top 10 rushing team.

@bill18 he always brings up number rankings but never raw numbers. Knowless gave over 15yards a game but was ranked higher. By more then that, it was 30 spots.
