This is more honesty and humility than I expected from Gundy. That’s good.
I think he recognizes that the O Line isn’t improved whatsoever. And, that excuse about injuries last year was some of the issue, but nowhere close to the entire story.
Even I got suckered. I looked at the depth chart and saw a bunch of names I recognized who have played a lot of football. I assumed that would translate to success, forgetting that while the O Line is experienced, the experience has been below average performance to say the least.
I’m writing off this season a bit. I hope we don’t waste a year of development on Bowman, get Rangel some experience (still not buying in to GG), and then move on from Dunn & Dickey in the off-season. The offense needs a hard reset.
