Answer to your first question: $28 million buyout to end his contract. Noboday wants to put up that kind of money. Although, I’d think Boone’s fund probably has some pocket change in it to take care of a good portion of that.

Part 2 of that answer… Gundy (in his mind) is the boss and does not report to anyone, or take direction from anyone. The last few years, his ego and mentality have changed tremendously to that mindset. C.W. and OSU need to put him in his place and either let him go with the buyout, or give him an ultimatum to make things right, or else he loses his buyout.

I personally don’t think Dunn is nearly as good as Kevin Wilson. In fact, especially after this season. I highly doubt even Kent State would want to hire Dunn.

I’m fairly certain a lot of people warned the Gundy lovers of this after the 2017 season where he got a pay raise and extension for not meeting expectations. Now we’re stuck with 28 million and a guy that loves hiring D2 coaches.

The only way to solve this situation (for better or worse) is to tell Gundy he’s going to hire at the bare minimum a great G5 OC and DC. The experimenting with unknown coaches needs to end. The issue is that I don’t think Weiberg doesn’t have any balls. If we haven’t heard anything by now. Then it wouldn’t surprise me if we’re retaining an entire “coaching staff” that can’t teach basic fundamentals.

What is taking so long to at least get rid of the offensive and defensive coordinators? There’s no way they can return.
