‘I told the team that I would come in earlier than normal tomorrow, and I’ll stay later.’
I didn’t see the post-game but perhaps Gundy could explain what they’re trying to do offensively, cause if it is “nothing”…nailing it!
Working harder ain’t gonna cut it…we need to work smarter. Spending more time on the same stuff we’ve been doing is an exercise in futility. Surely somewhere there is some dusty copies of Monken or Holgorsen game plans, can we use those pretty please?
Bunch of fluff. Pointless. Stupid.
None of that is gonna matter, 8.5 million dollar man.
After this year I could see him retiring. I don’t think he has it in him to have to go look for new coaches. I think he hates it and he’s going to have to do it.
Gundy says “there is a lot we can work on” lol. Anybody tell him seasons already over? He can work on all these thing he wants but not much to play for anymore and your going to have a new team next year. Every year this guy gets an experienced team and has pretty high hopes he poops in his pants. It use to be unbelievable now it’s starting to be believable.
We suck and its going to be a long year. Dunn and Nardo need to go and I suspect that one if not both will be let go.
I’m okay with Nardo. Dunn is a complete bust. And why don’t we upgrade the O staff with some OSU talent that can take over when Gundy retires? Monken? What about Zac?
Kevin Klintworth pacing back and forth lol
Seriously?
Hey champ,
Oh, the season’s not necessarily over. We made the conference game last year with two conference losses. There’s no guarantee that will be good enough this year, and even if it is, there’s no margin of error, but why make doomsday predictions that can only make you look stupid later?
You must be really high. We returned the second most starters in the country, run the same stupid chit, and our offense is averaging 5.3 points in the first half against P4 competition. Also, we’ve added four additional teams to the conference. You’re also forgetting who’s calling plays. You can go stick your head back in the sand now .
Arizona took it to the Utes last night and they hadn’t been playing well. Fitiji, Arizona qb is the real deal but no one at the top will have less than two loses If we don’t play better we will have a lot more The league has some tough outs about everywhere
There was no room for error after the Utah loss. Also, we still have to go to Colorado and BYU. I have a hard time believing our defense is going to stop Travis Hunter, and K State got pounded 38-9 against the Cougs.
As long as we’re averaging 5 points on offense in the first half and forced to use trick plays in order to score we’re screwed. Remember, we have to lose, and sometimes lose big before anything changes. The OC for Stillwater HS could call better chit than Dunn has.
How do you get worse returning all of your offensive production?
What has Nardo done? Nothing. We still give up big plays and lots of points.
Hey champ,
I’m not “sticking my head in the sand”. I’m speaking the factual truth that we might still have some hope. We have seen turnarounds from Gundy teams before, last year included. I’m just saying that we don’t know what the season has in store. We’re not necessarily done even though it doesn’t look good now. You have this mentality that if I’m not constantly in a doom spiral, screaming on the street corner that all is lost, I’m somehow out of touch.
To me Grundy’s 1 solo B12 Championship in 20 yrs (courtesy of the gift of Weeden to his program) speaks far louder than Gundy’s career record of 169-81
Agree but we were never on the same level as OU or Texas. Now that they are out of the league I was hopeful that we would be able to win a few conference championships. But not with this roster and coaches. It may be time for Gundy to retire. He was a good coach and won with lesser talent but that is not the case anymore. He needs to dump Dunn and Nardo and hire some innovative coaches like he has done in the past. He also needs to be more hands on like he was in the past. Cowboy Culture aint cutting it anymore.
What’s out of touch is not asking the question of “Why do we need to wait for embarrassment before fixing anything”? It was obvious even after a 3-0 start there were huge problems proven over the last two games that were never addressed. You guys act like this is something that’s normal for a top 15 (well….not any longer) program and it’s not.
Gundy said in his presser “Well….we improved to 4 yards per rush.”. Really? Is that where we should be at after the fifth game of the season with a team that returned its entire offensive production? We’re literally running trick plays to try and score touchdowns with a team that supposedly returned a loaded offense. That’s how out of touch you are Chump. Maybe you should have a little bit of “self-awareness” .
