I’m trying to be kind to Gundy, but it’s embarrassing that he praises the new coaches recruiting by saying “they’re not scared of anybody.”
Plays right into the narrative all along that we’ve underrecruited because Mike has seen that a guy has an offer from one of the “big boys” and ran the other way.

To hell with being kind to Gundy. He’s worn out any type of grace with the fanbase. His recruiting has sucked for years. Now, that he’s been forced…I repeat forced…to hire a staff that gives a sh-t about recruiting, you can see that this should’ve been the mindset all along!

Everyone else figured it out before him. He’s copying Cignetti and Dillingham. It’s obvious what he’s doing. He saw Dillingham hit the portal hard and won the conference. Gundy is trying to learn from the younger coaches, and other coaches that use common sense. I thought I’d never see the day.
According to Michael13 it takes a genius to figure out this should’ve been the mindset all along .

I don’t think anyone, me included is trying to be kind to Gundy He’s made a mint off of OSU so it makes me no difference. But he’s the coach until he isn’t. I pull for all the sports programs to be successful, in spite of who is coaching Travis Don’t go to the games if you dislike him that much
I like the complainers here giving nothing to HCMG. He is crap because his recruiting classes in the past have been ranked low. Now that we have a decent recruiting class he is still crap because his past recruiting classes have been ranked low. Anything good happening under his watch is just ignored.

I value and will support the program regardless of who is coach. Therefore, I will go. My love for OSU outweighs my disdain for Gundy. As Heupel said while Nico packed his bags, “No one man is bigger than the program.”

No, but you clearly exemplify the behavior of someone that belongs in one. The question is why are younger coaches in similar circumstances doing better than Gundy now?
No, you don’t. As soon as someone starts asking for accountability of the coach you directly go to defending the total wins record. Well guess what? Gary Patterson did well at TCU and it didn’t keep him from being canned. You love 
MG more than the entire OSU athletics program.
Being forced to fire your entire coaching staff and having the longest losing streak of any OSU coach in history can far remove anything good the previous year.
I think the better question is what’s improved or been implemented for improvement to finally win the conference again?

Tell me why we didn’t win the conference before NIL? How much NIL money did K State have in 2012 and 2022? How much NIL money did Baylor have when they won their three conference titles? How come a team that went to the CCG the previous year goes 0-9 in the conference while returning the most starters? Voted as one of the most disappointing teams of the 2024 season.
