The only quote I want to see coming from Gundy is his resignation announcement.

I don’t know Mike Gundy. Never met him, but know he’s different.
So, I don’t know if being on a pre-game set is of any interest to him. Seems like he might be more inclined to buy some cattle and become a rancher.
But I do know he needs to do this: meet with Weiberg and Hess and come to some agreement on his exit. That could be immediately or at the end of this season. And the agreement needs to be something that is manageable for the university to transition.
Part of the “Cowboy Culture” has to be a graceful, cooperative exit. He deserves it, but, more importantly, the university and program deserve it. “Loyal & True” may mean little in this day and age of NIL, but it should still mean something to Gundy and the place he has done so much for … and has done so much for him.

Last season would’ve been the perfect time for him to exit after getting blasted 52-0, losing the locker room, and going 0-9 in the conference. No, he decided to hire fired coaches and recruit like he’s at UTEP (Actually, UTEP might be better). Gundy uses Loyal & True to get what HE WANTS. He could care less about state of the football program these days. His complacency has proven it.
