Gundy on the open week, Zane Flores and more.
âItâs the same thing in the NFL, right? You can see a team thatâs like 4-6 play a team that may be 7-3 or 9-1 or something, and they beat them, and youâre like, âHow does that happen?â Well, thereâs parity in that leagueâ
Maybe thereâs parity across the Big 12 with all the other teams excluding OSU. Gundy didnât prove it last season, and itâs looking like he wonât this season either.
âYou canât predict anything.â
UCLA and Virginia Tech were able to. Florida and Oklahoma State are next. The next guy might be worse, but itâll be one step closer to our next Gundy. Thatâs a better spot than our current position. I understand itâll be a tough pill to swallow for a fanbase with a 20 year coach, but thatâs the reality of the CFB world. The best donât sit around. We laugh at A&M, Auburn, LSU, Florida, etc with their buyouts and coaching carousel, but that is the only method that works.
I agree for the most part. The idea of âwell we might get someone worseâ is absurd to me. You also may get someone better. You know what you have in Gundy and currently, its not good. You very rarely FIRE the wrong guy. Its hiring the wrong guy that gets programs in trouble. So I have no doubt that if/when OSU moves on from Gundy that it will be the right move. But its who they hire is what determines the future. I personally think who they hire is secondary to how they decide to approach the future in the NIL/portal era. The people on here that act like OSU cant win simply due to NIL is a lazy excuse. The only programs within the Big 12 that has MORE NIL backing than OSU is Texas Tech and BYU. OSU is on par with the rest of the league.
what about baylor? How about TCU? I guess they let you know how much they spend? We know you an inside guy lol but not really.
Hey champ,
You still think Kayse Shrum got fired for supporting Gundy or something, so it can be inside information or widely publicized, couldnât-be-more-outside information and you still donât have it somehow.
Mike never misses an opportunity to pat himself on the back
Yea well within the B12 I donât think NIL is insurmountable for OSU i.e. we can complete in the B12 in this modern version of college football. The problem I have is the severe disadvantage that we have compared to some teams outside of the B12. This matters to those fans that want to see OSU compete with teams from the B10 and SEC for playoff berths and nattys
Weâre more worried about winning the conference first. So letâs try to start there first .
