The closer we get to the SDSU game, the more I think that was a scheduling mistake. They are good - very good. I think they would beat someone like Minnesota by 2+ scores. And yet, because they are an FCS school, a win against Minnesota would look more impressive to poll voters.
So, you play a hard non-con game, but will receive essentially no credit if you win and a TON of flack if you lose. I just don’t get the angle.

At the end of last season their qb was supposed to be in the portal, going to higher power school. Don’t know why it didn’t happen unless the found a bunch of NIL for him. Wish he would have left …, lol ,They did lose a lot from last years squad but to be ranked No 1 again seems someone knows something
We better be ready. I expect Nardo’s passing defense will be tested first

We’re picked to finish in the top 3 of the B12. We have to take care of business in games like this. No more slow starts, which we are notorious for. We are a deep, senior-laden team; time to play like it.

They area good team but we should be able to dominate the 2nd and 4th quarters. There is no way their backups should be able to compete at this level.

This heat could be. a factor for sure. Watch a front come in 24 hours before and be 70 degrees … lol. Agreed that we should wear them down. My only worry is the chunks of yardage Nardo’s D gave up in the passing game. Hope he has that fixed. Their qb isn’t chopped liver
Yep they are no different from the rest of our schedule. We need to win this game plus a bunch of others if we expect to get an at large bid to the CFP although many think that the B12 conference isn’t strong enough for a team to get in at large. I don’t know what the truth is. One thing is certain, this game does not affect our ability to get to and win the CC. which would ensure that we make it to the CFP. So the way I look at it winning the CC is what we have to do and this game does nothing for that.

Well let’s see how good this offensive line is. If they are as good as they say, they should be able to slow the game down I’d need be and just run it down their throat. We will see.
