I’d say if he’s catching his intended passes 80% of the time then he’s probably useful. A lot of that will have to do with WHO is throwing those passes as well. Who the hell do you think he should be? Justin Blackmon?

I can recall a play where Tyron Johnson caught a long TD pass and turned on the jets and scored and Jelani Woods was running almost stride bystride with him. At that point, I could see Woods speed and was very impressed with him. I think it was a bedlam game. We were wearing black as I recall.

I saw the draft reports before and after the combine and the comments about him being drafted so high. Lets just say only 1 owner felt the high on him. He was projected 10 te going in.

Again, what does that have to do with his OSU vs Virginia career? And what does that have anything to do with the fact he was drafted and had one of the best combines for a TE? Stop the dancing already.

Okay, so what else would you like the guy to do then? He has a great combine and gets drafted. Yet, you don’t want to give him credit for it.

Then again, you’re also the same guy that thinks it’s a major accomplishment when an OSU player is an UDFA. It’s not called hype, it’s called hypocrisy.

That’s not exactly what happened according to this article:

  1. It didn’t take Gundy two years to talk him into it

  2. Jelani Woods said he wasn’t against the switch. That doesn’t mean he thought he was a top notch QB.

In fact, this is what Woods said:

“ “I took a chance on it, and I’m running with it now,” Woods said. “I’m really loving it.”

It’s obvious that if Gundy brought him into his office and asked him to play TE that he didn’t spend two years trying to convince him to move to that position. Woods makes that evident in the article. I can already tell you didn’t bother to read it. Doesn’t surprise me a bit though.

He never moved there till the end of his redshirt freshman season

I remember the few games he got to play at qb, and it wasn’t good

Again, pay attention to what you just said. You made the statement Gundy tried convincing him for two years, not me. There’s no evidence that statement is true in that article or any source outside of it.
