As a print journalist/columnist, Tramel always uses the Associated Press (AP) football poll to quote where a team is ranked . . . except, I guess, when it come to the Cowboys. In today’s Oklahoman article, linked on the PF home page, he writes: “The Cowboys, who landed amid the Iowa cornfields unbeaten and ranked ninth nationally, were a bewildering seven-point underdog to the Cyclones, but the good folks of Iowa seemed to know the truth.”
So why did Berry choose to use the Coach’s Poll ranking (9th) when writing about the Cowboys pre-game ranking? I think we all know.
