Jackson had 22 tackles and a pair of sacks this season.

What style does Cassity run? 3-3-5? That may explain why so few DTs…

A clear pictur of the DL room: [DE looks workable but DT is scary thin] :

Its counter-intuitive, but you really need fewer BIG DT style players in a 4-3 than in a 3-4. A 3-4 (or 3-5) runs over-sized DEs who push 280+, plus a 1-technique guy who is usually huge (320+) and then small edge rushers. Tampa Bay Bucs are a good example, where Vita Vea is 350 pounds at the nose, and the two D-Ends are 300 each. Then your Edge rusher is the OLB in a guy like Reddick who’s 235. With a 4-3, you need a pair of 3 technique guys (300#s) to play the middle and then the D-ends are 235-260 type guys. So you actually need fewer big bodies and less athletic “big bodies” in a 4-3 vs. a 3-4.
