Brophy talks the importance OSU’s new staff puts on high school recruiting and being ‘production over potential’ in the portal.

I like the approach on recruiting. Will be nice to have a staff that will put the effort into recruiting and believe in having depth also. Kind of a new approach to valuing any experience level over P4 reserves. What we were doing before stopped working so I’m all for this direction.

Sounds like they’re living in reality and planning ahead. Much nicer to hear than the old strategy of finding guys that fit “cowboy culture”

“Production over potential” says it all for me. I like the fact that Morris isn’t all about seniority over talent either. We’ve had plenty of examples in the past where we’ve seen younger talent produce when they got their chance. Then were benched as soon as someone with seniority was healthy again. It was absolutely mind-boggling.
