Mike’s hair gel got into his eyes during the game due to him sweating and the sweat from his hair running down into his eyes. An interview on the field with the ESPN reporter clearly showed red, weeping eyes. Wearing sunglasses indoors is another indicator that he was hiding his eyes, that made him appear as if he had been crying. Such is the life of a male millionaire who gets his hair permed and anointed with costly hair gels. Its a tough life, but someone has to do it.
On another note, Mike handled the press conference with patience and humbleness, which is a big plus in my books. I was on the edge of my seat watching the final drive in our attempt to tie the game. These guys never gave up. This is a brand new era of Cowboys football and Mike is starting all over again at the very bottom. The fans should forget past successes and super star players, because we will never see those days again in this new NIL era where the best players are bought on the market by the highest bidder. We should just enjoy each Cowboys season for what it is . . . amateur college football. What the board of Regents must determine is whether we have the donor money to compete for championships or if we don’t. If not, they must decide if paying $6million to a coach, who has no chance to build a championship team, make sense anymore.
