I’d happily take doubling our win total from last two years…..combined!
Ultimately, I think how much the new staff can turn the defense around will determine what kind of season the Pokes will have.

If the offense can score lots of points the defense will have to be much improved. Last couple of years they were on the field the whole freaking game.

Just saying. Turn it around from what? UNT? It isn’t being fixed, it’s being replaced. That’s fine, the language just doesn’t make sense. Go back under your bridge now. Sometimes replacing something causes a fix. Ever heard of that before? You sound like you’re lonely on here. Getting tired of people letting you know how wrong you were about everything? Keep digging the hole deeper buddy

Rushing: 91st
Passing: 119th
Total D: 114th
Scoring: 124th
Now, in my opinion, how much these stats improve this year will ultimately determine what kind of season the Pokes will have.

The big ones to watch will likely be sacks and turnovers. IF OSU’s offense can score in bunches (fingers crossed) then as others have said the defense will be out there a lot (not new) against teams playing with urgency (new).
Typically teams in that position are more likely to take a sack or turn the ball over. If that happens OSU’s defensive numbers will improve. If it doesn’t happen the defense might play better (eye test), but the overall numbers might look similar (likely better because man are those scary numbers, but you get the point).

How do you not get the point? You’re still fixing the issue regardless. Keep trying to convince us how deep of a thinker you are. When you’re too stupid to see how simple it actually is . Any other little thing you’d like to argue about further?

Another real world analogy that is not applicable. But, ill entertain it. The general threshold from what my limited knowledge of vehicles is that 75% is deemed to “total” a vehicle. If you are replacing 75% or more, its a total. If you are continuing to somehow only want to use Eric Morris, then he is returning only 17 players from what he had. You are continuing to die on this hill…but youre just wrong.
Now, he is absolutely bringing some significant production with him, specifically on the offensive side of things. He is replacing a ton of his roster (83%). That is correct. He is bringing a lot of production with him. That is also correct.
Hes retaining 98% of the passing yards.
Hes retaining 57% of the rushing yards.
Hes retaining 53% of the receiving yards.
Hes retaining 19% of the tackles
Hes retaining 16% of the sacks
Hes retaining 46% of the INT’s.

Ok, so what is your point? If an NFL coach goes to a team with a bad defense, maybe they replace a few guys, but largely you can’t overhaul the roster. If the defense improves, you could say he improved or fixed the defense. Virtually no one on this team is going to be a holdover from last year. He’s going to graft in his core of guys with some transfers.
Ok dude. 83 new players. Only 17 “regulars”, with a few being guys who basically haven’t played and 1 long snapper……..if you don’t consider that a new roster. You do you brotha
