Yea well pick your stats but there are others that show that OSU is better over the same time period. also on the field stats have nothing to do with Brand value comparisons. Something like a consumer poll is what you would use to compare brands

So when a recruit visits a school. Do you think he’s looking for the team that’s had better success making just any bowl game? Or do you think he’s looking for the team that has more trophies and gives him a better chance of winning the conference and possibly getting to NY6 bowl or CFP?
Blah blah blah, same old same old. It’s a gamble. A gamble we’re unlikely to come up on the positive end of. It isn’t one we should take until Gundy leaves of his own volition, or his results nosedive for several years.
Has Gundy done better than his 2011 season? If yes, explain how? And if no, explain how?
Fortune favors the bold. If Baylor can prove it then it can be done. If Iowa State can prove it then it can be done.
You do know that in 2010 we went 11-2 so maybe history repeats itself and next year is our next 2011

Oh, I hope so too!!! Unfortunately, I could also see 2017 happening all over again. You know?? The team that was supposed to be JUST LIKE 2011. The only difference was we lost our home opener against TCU and decided to get our A55 kicked by K State on our own home field.
A new your 6 bowl isn’t meaningless. Come on man. ND has two of its best players opting out because they are not in the playoff. If we beat ND the media will say it’s because they were missing those players and if we lose this game then we couldn’t even beat a ND team that is missing there best players. It’s a no win situation Bruce🤷♂️. If we are lucky and I mean lucky to play in a New York six bowl against a blue blood this scenario will always happen this is why any game that is not a playoff game is meaningless NOW. No body remembers who wins them and it dosent help your standings for the next year. O yea you get xtra practices right? Yea so does everybody that wins six games and now some that win 5. We should be past just trying to get bowl eligible and the next step is conference championships and then playoffs. We arnt even to the conference championships yet. Scared of the dark.

Gundy’s ceiling is just what we witnessed. He’s not going to some how 17 years later going to rip off a bunch of conference championships. He can’t win the big ones. We all have seen this. The prof is in the pudding. Some will have hope and most will witness the inevitable. This isn’t to say he’s not a good coach it’s just saying that he’s just not good enough to win championships.

I’m sure recruits will be impressed with the multitude of meaningless bowl trophies we have.

Aging bowls are no longer going to be a thing. The only reason they still have bowls is because they need time to get the 12 team playoff planed out. The bar will be set and that bar will be playoff or bust. It’s that way right now. You’ve got ou playing Oregon with both teams coachless. Lot of meaning in that bowl game right?
ND playing their big time NEW YEAR SIX bowl without their two best players and no head coach and Oklahoma state playing without their Defensive coordinator so guess they don’t think this game matters. You guys have to just face it.

Now it’s “NY6 sucks Baylor’s so much better” Gundy still can’t win it! I’ve been pretty pissed about the Baylor game and I put a lot of that on Gundy, but if y’all don’t think playing notre dame in the fiesta bowl is a big deal your cheese has done slid off your cracker

Up to this point Baylor has made more of a commitment to winning financially, we’ll see what the new administration does. Also we’ve been far more consistent over the last decade than Baylor. They’ve had high highs but far lower lows so it depends on how you judge that, but I do agree Baylor has figured out how to get very competitive very quickly and we need to learn and figure out what they’re doing, I think a lot of it is more money and they’re in the state of Texas which makes recruiting those kids easier.
