Interesting that 9 of the 16 Big XII games are on ESPN+. Is that due to the quality of the opponents or an effort to drive down TV ratings and provide justification for what schools are ultimately included (vs excluded) in the eventual College Football Playoff group of 30 schools? The number of schools that are “in the club” may vary, but you get the idea. The SEC & BigTen are actively working to eliminate the BigXII, ACC & remaining Group of 5 contingent after having destroyed the Pac12 already.

Something to keep an eye on but the upcoming ESPN+ matchups do look pretty mediocre. Seems fair to think only very dedicated fans would pay to watch and nobody else.
