I doubt that Jim Hess made this decision. I’m more inclined to think that the Board of Regents and “money men" made this decision for him. President Hess was most likely just the messenger.

I’m on board. Gundy got confused somewhere along the way and decided OSU football was about what was best and most comfortable for Mike Gundy and not what was best for Oklahoma State and its football program.

Youre correct. Jim Hess did not make that call. Thats not how that works. Was he in the loop? Absolutely. Did he have some input? Absolutely. The Board of Regents are the ones who make a decision this big, with the Pres/AD ultimately signing off on it.
