OSU gets its new DC on the cheap.

Why do we continue to use “cheap” as a source of pride for the program?

Probably because the majority of our fans are “cheap” when it comes to donating to athletics

T Boone sure got his money’s worth. His name on the stadium and one lonely trophy in the case.

Ted Roof is robbing OU blind. You love to see it. :joy:

How about instead of being cheap and risky we try to be frugal and smart? TCU hired Joe Gillespie away from Tulsa in 2021 and he was a proven commodity there. I can promise you Gillespie wasn’t even making $650,000 at Tulsa by the time he left. Apparently the only guy that thinks it’s a great move to hire an unknown starting out at 650k a year is Gundy. Point being I think we could’ve picked up a proven G5 guy and not taken a risk.

This is why we continue to be stuck in the realms of mediocrity with an occasional great season once every decade. The vision isn’t to build the program. The vision for OSU football is just to make sure we don’t become the old Kansas. The coaches and administration act like it as well with some of the moves they make.

Not serious about football.

Rinse and repeat. Every year.
