There are 15 former Cowboys on OSU’s schedule.
It will be the most Oklahoma State thing ever if Gregory and Fields obliterate us when we play K-State. Of all the bad things that could go down next season, that’s pretty high on the list of things that will make me lose hair. Let’s hope that we pull that one out or at least don’t let those two guys be the primary reasons we lost.

Yeah I had to pick one player that I wish we could’ve kept, it would’ve been Gregory.

Agree - Morris needs to realize that of all conference games, this one is like a fist-fight. Hit them hit them hit them and especially the quarterbacks legs - make them feel very heavy by that second half.

What was the deal on Gregory and Fields ? Not enough NIL for them , both were players I wish we had kept !!
I think it was was assumed that Hawkins was going to follow Morris to OSU, so Fields left for a better opportunity at playing time.
As for Gregory, I have no idea.

Fields would’ve gotten plenty of PT. Him and Hawkins in a rotation would’ve been nasty!

I was listening to the Sports Animal today and they said Gregory got $2M to go to K-State. I think we probably couldn’t afford him.

I think based on this. #80 on the list. It says it’s “confirmed”. I don’t know where they get the info, but On3 seems confident.
Insane the amount of money thrown around. Texas gives their r/s freshman a million and a half just to keep him.
I suspect our resources are pretty average for the Big XII. We paid $3.5M for Mestemaker and K-State paid $3.5M combined for Gregory and Avery Johnson. I think I’d rather have Mestemaker than that duo, but do wish we could’ve kept Gregory. It’s all about who uses their resources the wisest.

Everything starts with the qb.. you don’t have a playmaker there you’re in trouble. Yea would like to have kept Gregory ,think i would have liked to keep Fields more . Interested in seeing what Hawkins backup does. Small, maybe I water bug
I was listening to a talking heads show - watched too many to recall which one but one of more legit guests was on, and they said Gregory got 500K (I believe that was the number). And that Oliphant basically got what he was offered here - the biggest problem getting both was their agents sold them on a bigger payday. Then, of course, said agent took a cut of what they did receive.
