I don’t know how long Saban stays, but my top choice for his replacement is Lincoln Riley just to get him out of Norman. If we are stuck with Bedlam until 2025, that is. If they get out after this year, then I don’t really care. Haha! Saban will coach as long as his wife lets him, I guess. He doesn’t seem like the type to care about all-time wins, but maybe he does. Just cause an Iowa State guy didn’t work for Auburn doesn’t mean it wouldn’t work for Bama.

Bama would not go after Matt Campbell. He’s a great HC, but Bama is getting the most marquee names available and to them……that’s someone much flashier than the Iowa St HC
Well their last got drafted. So if u think going to the nfl is a bigger thing. If u think only heisman count then I would have to say none. It is an arbitrary statement.

Would Riley leave OU for Bama? That’s a really good question. I say no. I think Riley leaves OU for an NFL job. As great a job as Bama is, it’s great because of Saban.
Sam Ehlinger did get drafted………IN THE 6TH RD!! You know who else was a 6th Rd pick……Garrett Gilbert. If that’s your requirement for being called a “really good QB” then we have different outlooks on QB’ing
Saban resurrected Bama. Which goes to your point about the right coach being the right fit for a program. But Bama was a blueblood LONG before Nick Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa.

Sam Ehlinger is Tim Tebow. A fullback playing QB. With enough arm to get it done in college. Won’t get it done in the NFL.

Sammy is a winner. Just like he willed his team back in a lot of games. If u think Texas had a great secondary then u are the moron we know u are.
Sanders had 400 yards against that secondary. He has never gone over 300.
