2 things I can do u can’t. 1 be honest with myself. I have not always loved every play called.
2nd Sanders has been a bigger problem then the play calling. When the backup come in and have less trunovers( by far) and better red zone td % then it’s the player not the play.

Oh please!!! You blame anyone and anything except for Gundy. You’ll blame the fans for a bad game before you blame Gundy. When he coaches a good game I’ll even admit it, but more often then not it’s the same ole same ole. Be scared to death of LR, run the same crap over and over again expecting a different result, and play down to the level of the competition near the end of the game.

First gundy is far from mediocre. A guy like leach is. Coach for 20 year, 2 10 win season and no titles.
Having coach’s and recruits poached does not help.

Do I think recruiting should be better sure. That some what goes back to the poaching. Do I think we should be top 20 every year? No.

We have seen coach being fored out in this league not being replaced with better. Mac at Texas.
Take tech for a better example dykes was there had the program in ok shape when leach took it a lil high. Forced out. Come in with what everybody with think was a home run. But. No.
Masan and the fat man at ku. Had alot of good years. Since they have tried good young coaches. Brought in two highly touted coaches nothing has changed.
Miles made very little improvement ( as low as they were I think any hs coach could have).
Play calls. Do I like evert one no. With the peanut gallery’s hindsight no coach ever makes the rite call.
I hear about the famous ou punt all the time. First Campbell was in a similar spot against us last year. But, in a tighter game, he punted. His call was rite it work out. We pinned them deep. Should have got it back to reset. Talk about bone head coaching calls. Ksu last year went for 2 early, missed it and had to go for 2 late if he did chase the 1 point may not have lost the game. Tulsa game the coach is a briles guy both chased td over fg cost tu in the end. That is one thing about gundy he does know u got to score to win.
Ou, yes we should be a lil better. Do I blame gundy not so much. Matt for a career kick 97% for extra points. Did he have to choose that game to miss one.
Gilbert a veteran good player letting the ball slip away. Gundy as a qb threw a great pass and Parker just let it go between his hands.
And yes when gundy gets a lead he backs off Do I love it no.
I look at gundy and osu football with my eyes wide open.

Good summary. I disagree on recruiting. We SHOULD be top 20 every year. The Gilbert INT should’ve counted. Refs screwed us. He had already hit the ground when the OU player pulled it away.

Would anyone want to compare Leach’s coaching tree to Gundy’s coaching tree? A person would starve on the fruit from Gundy’s coaching tree.
