Will Oklahoma State Be Able to Stop the Run in 2026? The Defensive Tackle Group Will Be Key

A look at the Cowboys’ defensive tackle room.

I want to believe that Morris has found some hidden talent to help in this area. I think this could be our greatest area of weakness this season. If our opponents can regularly sustain 8-play, 5-minute drives to a touchdown, we will be forced to outscore most teams. Maybe we can, maybe we can’t. We have a lot of offensive talent.

I’m starting to feel pretty good about this defense. We seem to be pretty deep across the front seven and at safety. Really hope they can at least be top 50.

We will be better on D than last year but how much remains to be seen. If Tulsa can run the ball on us then we are in trouble. I expect that Oregon will have their way with us and it may become a shootout if our offense lives up to the task, but in the end we will most likely lose by 20-30. If it is closer then the season looks good.

Curious as to the feedback Morris may give to Cassity and the defensive staff. Perhaps try this or think about that or you need to shore this up…

I want Cassity to do well. But he has very little DC experience. And if we can’t stop anybody - well, you saw what that was like the last two years.

Is the hype about Savion Barthelemy legit or is HCEM trying to motivate other players? If it is legit, WHAT does that say about the other interior linemen?

Other players have mentioned him but what is the status of Macon (?) from Washington? Had high hopes for him - former wrestler, etc.
