The Nebraska Gatorade POY has proven to be just an average quarterback. Why was his competition with HH so close? Is HH really just barely better than ZF?
Biggest issue is Gundy didn’t give the poor kid any reps at all last year. No excuse for that. So he’s getting better now. No fast forward button, says Gundy? No, but you could have hit play a year earlier.
Honestly I see more than just average potential in him, but maybe I’m the exception. I doubt the pass blocking and game calling will ever let us truly see that potential though.
Not making any excuses for Gundy, but Zane had a season ending injury last year. He could’ve gotten some in 2023, but the QB situation was a mess.
