10 Thoughts on Oklahoma State's 69-3 Loss to No. 6 Oregon

Yep…gotta have time to think of some excuse for a 69-3 drubbing, and why we look like a mid-tier FCS team :+1:. I’ll give them this though. They’re consistent and don’t give up.

“Today was a historical embarrassment for the staff, team, donors, alumni, and fan base”

I don’t know. I think last year got me ready for this as being our new normal.

We get to play them again next year :+1:.

Yes there are some hints that we are back to things as they were when we attended college. In general pretty sad to think about.

Somehow I don’t think that is enough time to get ready for them.

Where is Roberto at. Dude wasn’t even here for the win last week.

Personally, I liked being spoiled with Terry Miller in his heyday my first year, beating OU at OU (their Homecoming someone told me). The years after that…

Sweet. I should be even more ready

I agree with you that it wasn’t an attack. The player obviously bought into the hooplah, what I am saying is that we see an incredible amount of respect from this player for his head coach, and I suspect that is missing in Stillwater. I really think Gundy is trying to make a point that the NIL system is broken and I don’t blame him, however that is no excuse to not have the respect from the players, coaches, and the fans.

Money had murdered college football.

OSU may rise from the grave in about 10 years.

Not sure, but I do wish him well. Despite our minor differences.

Where’s Les Miles when you need him?

MONTANA STATE put up more passing, total yards, and points against Oregon… yet we “tried to do too much”. I have an idea… let’s go after Montana State’s coaching staff!!!

I’d like to see how the USF coach works out.

He crawled back under his rock during last year’s dumpster fire and hasn’t come out since.

Yea that was fun. I sat next to Terry in 2 different classes. One was a finance class, don’t recall which one and the other was geography of sport, one of two electives I was allowed. I got to know him a little. Very nice person.

I don’t mind Gundy’s comments. There’s not one person on here that doesn’t believe exactly what Gundy was saying. There’s not one coach in football that doesn’t believe it either. It wasn’t taken anything away from Oregon. This is what the NCAA has become: the rich get richer. If you don’t think money matters more than anything, look at Texas Tech sports. They are outspending big 12 opponents in certain sports and it’s making a huge difference. As much as I would love to say we need to put more towards football since it generates the most money, I feel we should concentrate on the other sports, which will bring attention to the school (for football as well).

Right, where are the “Gundy deserves a chance to fix this” proponents? And does it bother anyone else that he says he does not get frustrated?? How about pissed if Mike??? Show some ■■■■ fire for god sake! Complacency breeds what we see on the field for a year now.

Just because a statement is factual, doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to say it. Ask my wife.

Gundy will be Gundy and at times his flare has brought us good publicity, but his comments, relevant though they might have been (and how), brought more negative publicity than positive, especially considering that his point easily could have applied against OSU for years, as others here have said.

I can see the argument that Gundy should have just been quiet and said nothing. However I’m glad he said what he did. More coaches need to speak up just like Gundy. The problem needs to be solved and the more attention it gets from Coaches bringing it up the better the chance of it happening.
