No, no. Not true. Malzahn is a really good OC. Average HC. I personally think he’s too gimmicky, but he’s coordinated some quality offenses. Harsin is similar to Malzahn. You’ve never seen or heard me trumpet how good a coach Harsin is. I thought he & Diaz were the worst pair of coordinators in Texas football history. You have the wrong guy

Yes that was me. I never said you were all out bragging on him but you did say multiple times he would be equal to or better than Gus at auburn. The dude will be lucky to make it through next season the way he’s started off
I never once said anything about how good Harsin was/would be. I argued why Auburn would hire him.
I never once said he’d be better or equal to Malzahn. I said Gundy was a better coach than Malzahn, but Auburn would’ve fired him too. Never said Harsin was a good coach.

You said that if Auburn was such a good job, then why did they have to go to Boise St to find a HC. I said it then and I’ll say it now…….that’s an ignorant question. Boise St has been the launching pad for a few guys that have won some games at better jobs. The success of hiring Boise St coaches was a thing well before Harsin came along.

Malzahn……came from Ark St. Boise has been and is a better program than Ark St. So hiring Boise’s HC is a “safer” looking hire than Ark Sr’s. These guys went to these jobs right after Boise. So Auburn is similar

Gus also had ties to auburn. Other than boise state harsin had the distinction of being a terrible oc at Texas.

Dude, Harsin left UT in 2012. After that, you may wanna look at what his record was at Boise. I’ll help you………he won 70 games in a little over 7 years. That’s pretty good. So again, your question of “why would they hire a Boise HC” was ignorant.
None of it really matters, the hire made zero sense to me and now it’s showing why, he isn’t a fit
