Yeah I was hoping we’d move onto Rangel or Flores

Experience counts. Hope that keeps down his interceptions, especially for someone that professes to throw the ball away when in trouble instead of forcing it. Sometimes he threw it away to quickly and other times he forced it in error. He does have a strong arm. As we saw against Texas, we need better play from Alan if we want to win a championship.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rangel’s name pop up in the portal soon.

Believe the portal closed the other day… wanna say Jan. 2. Assuming Rangel would be backup.

Showtime!!! I’m happy for the guy! Like it or not, he’s earned the right to ā€œrun it backā€ as the kids say! If we don’t leave Arlington as Big 12 champs next season, it’ll be a massive disappointment. Go Pokes! ā€˜24 Big 12 Champs! CFP Bound. I choose to believe.

It’ll reopen on April 16th.

Ahhhhh yeah. That’s right. Forgot that it opens again in the spring. Good call. Could definitely see Rangel jump in.

The dude is an adult, not a kid. Worst qb we have fielded in nearly two decades!. Time to move on to someone that does more than throw 50/50 balls off their back foot. Often without even looking to where he is throwing it. Anyone wanting to see that s*** show again obviously doesn’t understand football…

That ā€œsht showā€ got us to Arlington. If you think we have a guy in that QB room right now that could’ve done the same…you are the one who doesn’t understand football. Rangel ain’t it. And Gundy was NEVER gonna trust Gunnar or Flores to get it done. If Flores or Smith are better than Bowman next season, then you start them from day 1. If not, you roll with Bowman and pray he’s improved along with Nardo’s defense in year 2.

That terrible QB got us 10 wins. H#ll he beat OU, something we will relish in for decades to come. He should be in the ring of honor for just that! Not really but still I’d be ok with it.

Why do you say Rangel ā€œain’t itā€ is this based solely off what he put on tape as a true freshman 2 years ago or do you have insider information?

Bowman is ranked 87th of 106 QBs in QB Efficiency. 87th. Of those 106 QBs Bowman had the 4th most interceptions.

We do not need to see anymore. It’s time for Flores, Rangel, or transfer portal.

That plus what I saw in non-con this year.

After attending practices last year I firmly believe Flores is our future. (No Doubt)! With this being my opinion I just Hope Flores sticks around and does not go back to Nebraska or enter another program. Bowman has been good for the OSU with some of the intangibles of being a good leader - age - etc… but Flores is the real deal - Gundy has had some issues in the past in determining our best option at QB. Bowman is the easy answer but the kid from Nebraska should be given an opportunity.

As much as I’d love to blame Dunn for his lowest passing efficiency in 7 years, we’ve all seen him throw the deep ball. It’s bad.

I think what people might be missing is that he has 6 years of experience technically. Yet he has numbers worse than other freshman QBs. He’s simply turning the ball over too much for a veteran. So much that it should be unacceptable.

If Gundy has a better option to start at QB he will play him. This nonsense about Zane and Rangel not getting a chance to play is stupid. Rangel & Gundy got their chance this year and Zane & Rangel will get their chance next year. At the end of the day the QB that gives us the best chance to win next year will be the starter. If players leave because they don’t get to start, so be it.
