Daily Bullets (Sept. 11): OSU Shouldn't Be Compared to Oregon

Inappropriate and unacceptable. Be kind and respectful my man

He absolutely deserves zero respect because he doesn’t respect this community at all. He hijacks every topic of conversation to talk about the one and only thing he wants to talk about. It is selfish. It is rude. It’s even a little unhinged. He will consistently straw man anyone who doesn’t agree with him, essentially ignoring all dialogue to the point of being insulting and dismissive. He treats this board as his personal soapbox and not as a community. He is a troll.

I’ll have respectful conversation with anyone who wants to have one and do. There are a handful of people here who absolutely have no intention of having one. To them I treat with nothing but my scorn and contempt, and when someone sees them talk one time and blocks them, I have not even the slightest qualm with pointing out that they are unliked and unappreciated. I hope every minute they spend here is a bad one because they ought to take with them exactly what they bring. They should have been banned–not for having a different opinion, but for disruptively making every single topic focused on themselves and their one opinion–a long time ago, but since they haven’t, I think it’s unfair for it to be incumbent on everyone else to ignore them and hope they go away.

You are the one trolling by commenting on everything that isn’t positive about Gundy try to start an argument. I post a fraction of the times that you do. I don’t have an option on everything but you do. I’ve donated some cattle to this university and convinced the people I’ve worked for to donate a lot more. So I feel like I’m able to have a option.

Anyway you just keep loving on Gundy and we’ll see how that turns out for you.

Hey champ,

Case. In. Point.

What did this response have to do with anything? He responds to none of my assertions about him or his behavior. He immediately did exactly what I said he does. He invents some position and persona for me and attacks it. Completely dismissive. Aggressive. Insulting. Turns the conversation into a Gundy soapbox. Why does he deserve an ounce of civility? He isn’t even talking to me. He’s hosting an internal dialogue at my (and I believe everyone’s) expense.

Your assertions about me are so stupid that they don’t deserve a response. Also everyone on here knows that you response to every post I put on here or @bill18 post.

As far as aggressive insulting, I think you’ve already shown your true colors on that.

Hey champ,

Spare me your hypocrisy.

You proved every single one of my accusations in minutes.

You sound like an absolute crybaby. This is rich coming from the guy that deliberately copies and pastes half the context of someone’s post, twists it to his liking, and then places words into someone’s mouth they never said. You would think someone that hasn’t been able to post anything positive about the football program for nearly 365 days would start to get everyone else’s point. I guess not :man_shrugging:. But keep going ahead and doing your Gundy mantra like you’re the smartest in the room :+1:.

I get the idea from your comments that we shouldn’t block these trolls and instead should confront them. I commend you for constantly showing them how stupid they are. However it’s my belief that there is nothing that you can say that will shame them. They are shameless people after all. IMO the best course of action is to just ignore them and not engage. Let them talk among themselves. They deserve each other after all.

Coming from the guy who all of a sudden says Gundy needs to win the conference within three years. As if the last 14+ wasn’t enough evidence for you to get the point :man_shrugging:.

Hey champ,

Coming from the guy that said “coming from the guy” over and over again in one thread. I’m not the one who has a mantra. You repeat the same four things over and over again. It’s kind of obsessive and deranged, to be honest. You are completely unable to see beyond your own perspective. It makes zero sense for you to even have a conversation with other people; you get nothing out of it.

I personally don’t think Gundy gets fired mid-season. I just don’t think he’s retained past this year. IIRC, seems like Nov. 1 is when the ‘new year’ starts within his contract though, so that’s the date in which the buyout $# would be reduced, so if we start seeing 45K attendance and 3 TD home losses, I could see him let go as soon as the contract calender turns.

But as I posted in the other thread, does Weiberg go too? Do you keep the AD that was in charge when Gundy got his ‘un-fireable’ contract and preceded to watch OSU descend to becoming the laughingstock of the conference.

How is discussing Gundy’s performance and his need to go “hijacking” a thread discussing whether or not Gundy should be fired mid-season or maintained through the EOY. Seems like his viewpoint is appropriate in this thread.

What’s ironic to those of us though who are ready for Gundy to move on: Not even you are still on this board talking about giving Gundy “another” year. Is there anyone left on the board that actually thinks Gundy should be coaching here next year? That keeping Gundy is what’s best for OSU going forward in today’s modern athletics? If I’m misrepresenting your position, Heychamp, feel free to correct me.

Hey champ,

It’s not. Every other thread he does it in is.

Do you know what irony is?

We’ll see how the year plays out. Last year I said he shouldn’t go after one bad season. If it’s two in a row, that’s different. I said before the season he would probably need to finish 8-4 to save his job with some caveats such as he goes 7-5, but we end on something like a 4 game clip and everything is going in the right direction. One terrible loss to a great team hasn’t buried that possibility. It’s just the low tide moment we’re in, but winning covers a multitude of sins. None of that is “ironic.” It’s all stuff I stated beforehand. It’s not some gotcha. I didn’t change my position.

I’m not saying Gundy’s going to win. I’m saying wait and see. There are a lot of new pieces that have to come together. I don’t know if he can handle a reset like this, nor do I think many coaches could. I’ve also acknowledged that Gundy’s strength has been player development. That’s not as easy or valuable in the current era. If the game has “passed him by,” that’s where it’s done so.

All that said, I’m still not going to put up with deceit, slander, bullying, illogic, or rudeness. I’m going to hit back every time. People that can’t go two sentences without resorting to such do not deserve a civil response.

And, by the way, even if he goes, I’m not going to trash the guy. He’s been our QB, our OC, and our HC for 35 years. I’m not going to crap on the guy if his time is up. That’s disgusting behavior. If he decides to go somewhere else when his time is up here, I’ll wish him well there. I don’t know why fans think they get to run people down. Ok, Kasey Dunn, for instance, wasn’t a good OC, I have no doubt he was trying. Why would I insult at a guy who is trying to win football games at my school or make insinuations that I have no evidence to back up like that he was lazy or didn’t want it enough or whatever? Even if it’s his time to go, I’m also going to acknowledge his positive accomplishments. He coached an offense that had the nation’s leading rusher. Twice. How many OCs have ever done that? Even if he ultimately was inconsistent or not quite good enough, he still did some good things and left us with some highs and some good memories.

No, you’re going the Robert28 route. You refuse to see how ridiculous your assessment of the team and coaching is. The overall situation really. Even after Oregon, you wanted to make excuses so badly. You’ve called us clowns when we’ve been correct this entire time. At least Michael13 finally admitted he was wrong.

I just don’t think Gundy wants to deal with all of the newness in the sport. He can talk about adapting and understanding the necessary changes that are happening, but it’s hard to do, which is why you see so few coaches able to bridge from the old guard to the new age.”

Who are the four individuals on here that have been trying to consistently tell you this the entire time?

Worst lost in school history by the greatest coach in school history :man_shrugging:. Make it make sense :+1:.

You’ll see how he’s the next Gary Patterson.

Facts are not deceit, slander, bullying, illogical, or rudeness. They simply are what they are Champ. If you can’t handle that then you’re soft like Gundy.

He definitely is a triggered human being lol. Could be Robert28 using spell check

There is absolutely zero chance that’s Robert28. No spellcheck could make that bozo type coherent sentences.

Hey champ,

No, I think it’s objectively dumb not to acknowledge it. If, in the blind, I said one team…

1.) Was coming off their worst season in decades.
2.) Had replaced every position coach.
3.) Brought in whatever dozens of transfers, half of which had only been with the team since June. This includes a whole new O-line and 10 of 11 on defense.
4.) On top of all that, loses their QB who won the starting job in the first game and has to start their second QB in two games.

And the other team was #6 in the country, a playoff contender with a $40 million budget and they’re going to meet in week 2, and I asked you to predict that game, what would you say?

Don’t you think that’s a bit short of a runway to get a team that was completely rebuilt into any kind of workable team? If you wouldn’t predict that scenario as a 50+ point win for team 2, you’re lying.

Yes, you can say a lot of that situation is Gundy’s fault or partially Gundy’s fault, but… those conditions all existed since last year (except the QB injury) and we all knew this game was coming, so for the most predictable outcome to happen when he wasn’t fired last year, I think the reaction to the loss is dumb. If he was only going to get a one game runway into a buzzsaw to perform a miracle, then you should’ve fired him because that was pretty unlikely.

I’ve always thought that his spelling stuff was a ploy. Several times I saw him slip up and post with complete legibility and coherence. Who knows.
