It’s Gundy’s second Big 12 Coach of the Year honor.

Homles got screwed at least it was to a team mate.
I never really like this list they do more on some weird system not the player.
It’s great Sanders won qb. Buy was he the best or just carried the best team.

Not a lot of great qb’s in the league this year.

When the top 2 both had 3 picks in a game yes not any good options.

When the 4th place team takes most of the players u know it’s nane recognition. And Matt did a terrible job.
Look at all the 4 and 5 star players ou an Texas put on the list.
Warren got screwed too.

I can’t believe Sanders got first team to be quite honest. It really was a down year for Big 12 QBs. He has improved significantly the last month and half compared to the first month of the season. Purdy was a big let down this year. I thought for sure he would’ve had a massive year.

Warren didn’t make first or second team (top 4 RB) in Big 12. This isn’t the pass happy Big 12 we all remember.

Congrats to coach Gundy. If they win Saturday he should be national coach of the year. Without looking at the stats I feel Devin Harper was possibly disrespected.

I’m surprised Gundy won coach of the year. I thought it would’ve gone to Aranda considering how awful Baylor was a year ago. Congrats!

Wasn’t Harper injured some this year?

Yeah it’s pretty impressive what Aranda has done. I think the TCU loss hurt his chances. Otherwise, I think between him and Gundy it would’ve been a difficult choice.

Who else could have been higher? I mean check out the stats and nobody jumps off the page. Sanders also ledB12 qbs in rushing with 510 and 6 TDS

The stunning news is that Malcolm Rodriguez did not win DPOY! Are you kidding me?! He is second in tackles in B12 to a Jayhawks safety because the Jayhawks can’t get off the field until the other team scores. Pitre had 63 tackles, 45 fewer that MRod! Pitre had 2 Int, 3 Fum Forced, 1 Fum Rec, 15.5 TFL, 2.5 sacks.
Rodriguez had 108 tackles, 13.5 TFL, 3 sacks, 3 Fum Forced,
I don’t get it.
I think he will win the media vote.

It looks like Harper played all season. He has stats for each game. 80 tackles for the season and 6 sacks. In my opinion he is a major reason we won Bedlam. His heart and hustle on that play to stop Caleb Williams saved us. Maybe that’s part of the reason I feel he got snubbed.

I don’t know who else should’ve won I think there are a lot of QBs that are at about the same level this year. I think Sanders legs won it for him.

Agreed. Harper’s shoestring tackles of Caleb will be some of the most memorable plays of bedlam.

Good point. I just think in years past that the Qb that is on the best team has won it by default. Think 1980s or 1990s. I’m just glad Sanders was rewarded for a good year even though it’s more of a team effort.

Devin Harper should’ve been 1st Team. The fact he was not 1st or 2nd team is just wrong.

Rodriguez EASILY Defensive Player of the Year. Again, just wrong.

Both will prove it on Saturday.

The biggest “WTF!”, tho’, is Texas with three first-team offensive players?!

I figured Bijan and Worthy would be on there but the OL is a WTF. Texass oline was a wet napkin for a good portion of the season.

The Baylor coach had a great year. But had less to deal with. I know 2 and 7. But really they didn’t handle the virus well. And we in the games with a depleted roster do to them miss handling it.
Big difference.
