How little is expected from Gundy?

Pretty happy they “settled” now. I see no reason to believe we would be more likely to be like Nebraska or Texas than Baylor.

Your concept of gambling is severely flawed. I hope you live somewhere that doesn’t have casinos, for the sake of your family.

Did they really settle because Ed O. isn’t the same coach he was 2 years ago? What I see is Ed O. improving his team by going in a different direction on offense despite that being outside his comfort zone. He is seeking advise from others and willing to change.

That program has been wasting WR talent for 20+ years and now they are enjoying the benefit of having a team that can win offensive shoot outs and defensive battles.

Count your blessings. ArKansas was once unhappy with 8 win seasons and now they are just Kansas. I don’t know why every team thinks they are going to be Alabama with just the right coach. This is a successful program, with great kids and good leadership.

In 2006 Gundy beat Alabama and after their 54 the bowl appearance they fired their coach. You should have been there to tell them how good they were and how they could end up like Kansas. Or just a few years ago you could have told LSU they’re good enough. How about Georgia who fired a coach who was 145-51 they seem to be doing alright. Even Baylor seems to be suffering through a new coach.

For every one of your examples there are more that went the other way. Even OU suffered through Blake and Schnellenberger.

I think the point is they weren’t content being barely above average. You can talk about all the wins but he averages 4th and is 55 - 30 in conference. You can act like you’re the second best team in the conference but it’s just acting.

I’m sure Arkansas isn’t content but that changes nothing. Just like your discontent. If you want your discontent to mean something, get off of here and go to Holders office and write him a check to buy Gundy out.

Holder is not going to do anything as long as there’s enough of y’all who settle for whatever. So you and Mrs Whatever have a great holiday.

For the best comp

Nothing’s going to change. Same ole, same ole. See any different wrinkles this game from prior? zerOU coaches LOVE that, makes it much easier to defend. Gumby just doesn’t have any cojones to try something different. We’re already the underdog, we’re expected to lose. That being the case try SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

This bunching the line up to run up the middle is the DUMBEST thing I’ve seen out of oSu in a long time. Makes the defense know, like Captain Obvious, it’s a run play. Debate me!

So very reali$tic, Ein$teen.

I have a problem with him making offensive play calls cause they usually $UCK!

I think Gundy was really able to show what kind of coach he is. Maybe another big raise.

How little is expected from Gundy? Absolutely nothing.

Blake brought in the majority of the talent Stoops used to win their only recent NC. While Blake was cheating his way to rebuilding the depth at OU the top brass was focusing in on KSU DC Bob Stoops. In true Sooner fashion he raided the KSU staff and the race was on.

This dude is coasting to retirement. He could give two $%#^ less about his program. Win 8 games, draw paycheck, rinse, repeat.

THIS!!! There are way to many people on this forum content with the mediocrity that Gundy has settled upon. FIRE HIM…Bring in a guy like Boynton who will go out and recruit, use social media, adapt to the times, and relate to these kids. We live in a world where kids base their decisions largely on the popularity of these coaches on social media. It’s a sad reality but true. Gundy is a dinosaur in this era of recruiting.

Lmao count your blessings ? Spoken like a true winner

Thank you, David. I absolutely LOATHE that mindset. I can understand the ‘be careful what you wish for’ mentality because I get where that comes from. ‘Count your blessings’ is ridiculous and self-defeating.
