You mean when Sark was 13-12 in his first two seasons at Texas? Also, why do we have to make second half comebacks against teams that are in their first year in a P5 conference?
I understand your a moron, but why do you keep talking. Texas had a good year last year. We were under dogs.
That’s a question for the players not for anyone here. Another option is to get rid of that target fixation you have on Dunn and actually watch the games and see what is really going on. If you did that then you’d have a pretty good idea of the real reasons why. Of course I’m talking to a wall here so there is that.
You consider 8-5 a good year for a BB? No wonder you get ecstatic if we go 7-6.
I do watch the games. I’ve noticed when Dunn is calling plays (specifically the last three games) we average 8 points in the first half with no motion, shifting, or check downs so to speak.
Did you not notice the three straight runs against a 5 man front on our first offensive possession against BYU? Apparently not.
While I’m watching the games (specifically the last three). We average 20 points in the second half, and we see motion, shifting, and checks downs.
Pay attention to what Gundy said in his last presser “During the 4th quarter. Time was getting crunched a bit and I kept telling Dunn on the mic we need to speed it up”. Why does a HC need to tell his four year OC to do that? That should be a given.
Gundy is literally telling you he has to fix the first half mess by a guy that’s been pretending to be an OC for four years.
So……who really needs to be paying attention to what’s going on here?
8-5 is good for any team including Texas. Anything below 8-5 is starting to exit the “good” category.
10-2 is considered a good year for a BB. You guys really need to empty your heads. It’s just like how to consider 7-5 a good year for Oklahoma State.
Sure everybody wants double digit wins, it’s not exclusive of BB’s. What makes 8-5 good is that very few HC’s will be fired over that record.
Like always you take things out of context. He said we were already going fast. I want it faster.
Texas is basically a 9 and 4 team overall so that is below average for them at 8 and 5. But yea thats a great year.
Gundy has about the same % as texas does that mean he is a bb. He will end his career with the most wins in big 12 history and only 1 title lol poor billy
I can’t remember anyone saying 7-5 is a good year joy ? You putting words in peoples mouth with that chit. I would bet the way you were whining when the portal started last , you thought the sky is falling and we won’t win 5 games
Do that for about two or three seasons in a row at a BB and see what happens. If you don’t believe me, then ask Tom Herman.
Tom Herman got fired for going 8-5 (Texas). Clay Helton got fired for going 8-5 (USC). John Cooper got fired for going 8-4 (Ohio State). Bo Pelini got fired for going 9-4 (Nebraska). Manny Diaz got fired for going 8-5 (Miami).
So you’re picking Texas to win?
Miami is a bb when.
Dude my opinion is mine. We know only 10 win title season is good enough for you. Thats why your driving the bus using a computer to tell you where your going.
Tom Herman wasn’t a consistent 8-5 and above winner so what I say still stands.
You don’t? Looks like you should read some of the posts on here before commenting on mine. Your buddy Bob just said 8-5 is a good year for a BB. You’re both still proving my point. No wonder you guys think 7-6 at OSU is some monstrous accomplishment.
You try to use your opinion as facts. Yes!!! Give me a conference title finally for the first time in 12+ years. I don’t drive buses anyway, and if you’d like some help with your grammar skills there’s this thing call an iPhone, where you can downloads apps to help you figure it out.
Tom Herman won 10 games and won the Sugar Bowl the year before he was fired. That should give you a hint as to why 8-5 isn’t considered a good year for blue bloods. So what you just said has already faltered.
They never improved or at least matched where they were joy, that’s the reason Herman waxx as fired You and your reasoning, Gheez you need to think it through. Herman got worse
You’re right you dimwit!!! That’s the entire point I was making. Every time we get double digit wins now we make sure to follow it up with a 7-8 win season. Been happening since 2018 now.
2017: 10-3
2018: 7-6
2019: 8-5
2020: 8-3
2021: 12-2
2022: 7-6
2023: ?
Ask your boy Dave or Matt how they did after a good season you moron !! Do you evef think before you write something. Highs then low low… we haven’t had a losing season in 17 years
