So no that’s not the desired outcome. However the point is getting to the CC game is a bigger accomplishment than actually winning the game IMO.
So what good does it do to get to it and not win it? Iowa could say the same thing under Ferentz. They’ve only been a co-champion twice since 2002, and they’re 0-2 in an actual conference championship game since 2011. How is that helping build their program?

I’ll tell you what it brings is respect. Any coach out there will tell you Gundy is capable of beating anyone and also throw some clinkers too.
Gundy is respected, you won’t admit it but he is or we wouldn’t be top ten in wins last 10 years and also top ten in wind against top 25 … I’ll take it

The entire question is how you plan on building your program without any trophies. The Bb schools didn’t just become good because they won a lot of games and have the bare minimum in the trophy case.
Here’s your first clue joy , they became BB after not just winning games but generations of winning and championships. We aren’t there, we have made a large jump in 20 years, not 50-60 years of winning and championships. Say we had 3 CC , we still wouldn’t be a BB. We wouldn’t be any closer than we are now. Do your homework joy , I’m tired of giving you free lessons

Yep gaining real BB status takes multi natties and with the current direction of college football getting there for a school like Oklahoma State may be impossible or close to it. In addition there is a catch 22 regarding winning multi natties, In order to do that you need to recruit like you are Alabama or Georgia et al. but guess what you can’t because you aren’t. Our best chance at winning a Natty is to catch lighting in a bottle one year, similar to the 2011 season, and get it done. The upcoming 12 team playoffs can up our chances as long as we stay a winning team year in and year out such that we are in the top 12 discussion. In any case winning CC’s isn’t going to move the needle hardly at all. In fact IMO consistent winning seasons probably has a bigger impact.

Says the guy that never does any research at all. Anyway, not winning conference titles doesn’t get you any closer to a BB or even a Tier 2 status. It’s funny how the point is literally being made to you, and you’re still too stupid to understand it lol.
That makes no sense since twice as many make it to the conference championship as win it.

A group talk about gundy wouldn’t be good in the new big 12. In the last 5 years only osu has been twice out of new big 12. Coach of the year. We are adding at least a win every year with ou and texas gone. Im hyped about next year. Our tuffest game maybe sdsu.
