Instacap: Oklahoma State Suffers Historically Lopsided Loss at No. 6 Oregon

It’s a game the BoR and administration as a whole should watch over and over again. Just to see how far away we are from actually even competing in our own conference.

Bigger than Montana State??? Are you kidding me?.

Seems there’s a sad pattern in the Big 12.

Gundy deserves credit for what he’s done for us, but he also has to take credit for where we are now.

Sad, but true. Most coaches want to keep cashing those multi-million dollar checks even though the product on the field is not the same anymore.

Just walked out of Autzen,

Gundy needs to get on Bullet and ride off into the sunset, or off a cliff, honestly I don’t care.

I have been the biggest Gundy supporter the last few years, but this is too far. The gap is too wide. He, and OSU, are has-beens. The longer we wait the more impossible a turnaround job this will be.

Ask the wrestling program how retiring a legend has worked out.

If Weiberg doesn’t pull the trigger by Monday, throw him on a horse out of town too.

Our last two FBS games have resulted in us being outscored 121-3.

Sorry misinterpreted your comment. Hell yea if we could hit a home run like we did in wrestling I’m all in. History is full of bad outcomes though so there is that. However how much worse can it get? Maybe time to roll the dice with nothing to lose.

I remember when someone asked Boone Pickens why he made such a huge donation to OSU back when. He answered that “at his age, he didn’t plant small trees”, but small trees is what we have now, and most of that has to be on the gardener.

Throw the headset on Oregon’s Duck. Gibberish would likely lead to a better outcome than what happened today.

This is the start of Lanning’s 4th season at Oregon. I guess it doesn’t take that long these days to get big trees.

There are plenty of coaches out there. I hate the fear based excuse of “what if the next guy is worse?”. G.J. Kinne at Texas St is all about fundraising and recruiting. Andy Kotelnicki at Penn state is an offensive mastermind. The offensive coordinator we just lost to is due for a hc job(he develops qb’s too). Does Jim Knowles wanna be a head coach? Pete Kwiatkowski is a great defensive mind at Texas. John Gruden wants to try college and he’d be a media draw. There are options.

Pick one. It’s not going to solve the talent problem. Given the landscape of college football If I were Gundy I’d give you all the middle finger, say good luck and ride off into the sunset. Of course his love/legacy of/with OSU prevents that so here we are.

Do we go FCS, D2, or D3?

Football Championship Subdivision (FCS)
• School Size: FCS schools are generally smaller than FBS institutions, with a median enrollment around 2,400-3,000 students
• Number of Schools: 125 schools compete in FCS
• Scholarships: Limited to 63 total scholarships, which can be divided as partial scholarships among players
• Requirements: Must sponsor at least 14 sports
Division II Football
Division II schools strike a balance between high-level competition and academic focus.
• School Size: Mid-sized institutions with a median enrollment of 2,428 students. About one in 10 students is an athlete
• Number of Schools: Approximately 167 football programs
• Scholarships: Limited to 36 scholarships per program, typically divided as partial scholarships
• Academic Requirements: Minimum 2.2 GPA in core courses for eligibility
Division III Football
Division III emphasizes the student-athlete experience with no athletic scholarships.
• School Size: Wide range from 418 to over 38,000 students, with a median enrollment of 1,740-2,750 students
• Number of Schools: 243 football programs, making it the largest division
• Scholarships: No athletic scholarships offered, though 80% of athletes receive non-athletic financial aid
• Academic Requirements: Individual schools set their own academic standards

I say we go all in on wrestling

For starters we all know your position on HCMG. We get it and It’s annoying that you repeat it over and over and over every day. You also do realize none of us can do anything about the coaching situation at OSU right? Why don’t you spend your energy working to convince those who can do something about what you want instead of obsessively annoying those of us here.

I said it last year, and I’m going to say it again. I didn’t like the hires we made. Sure, they may have been good for a time, but they aren’t any longer. Maybe 60 year old coaches worked in the 90’s, but that’s drastically changed. on rare occasions do you find a Jim Knowles or Todd Monken. Today’s CF environment is a young coaches’ game.

We need a coach that’s 35-42 years of age that isn’t worn out and arrogant. That being said, I still said I’d give this staff a chance. However, 69-3 is a little too much. I don’t think anyone expected them to win, but it sure as hell didn’t look like we even tried. It’s not just simply a talent gap (which is true). Our coaching staff looked just as bad if not worse. I’ll be surprised if we win a conference game this season.

I’m ready for Gundy to go
