I’m going to continue to post because this is unacceptable. I’d be more annoyed about the on field performance this season and last than what I have to say on a message board.
Oh, the talent gap is that big. But it shouldn’t be, and that’s why Gundy needs to go.
Check out Alex Golesh. He reminds me of when Gundy was still “a man” and had a little fire in his belly. And he just took his underfunded USF team to Gainesville and snagged a victory against a much better funded, blue-blood SEC program in Florida.
I predicted that we wouldn’t sell out our football season tickets this year, and we haven’t and we won’t. Some radio guys said I was wrong.
and yes we heard you. Just stop.
What? do they exist to stupidly complain about the same thing over and over and over? If they do then sorry my bad
not asking you to quit posting. Just say something new
We’re recruiting people in the portal like a freshman from UTEP, D2 players, and players from average P4 programs that couldn’t start or even step on the field at their previous team. We have very few that actually started anywhere else. I think we have five or so that actually started. Combine that with chitty coaching and you get chitty football.
The reason Indiana and ASU were successful is because they picked up proven talent from the G5 realm and got a few second string players from BB schools. Plus, they have people that actually try to strategize.
Now we are talking do you think he would come to OSU if approached?
I believe he’s making $2M at USF. Gotta imagine we can give him enough of a raise to at least have a serious conversation.
Why do you think this is the case? What do you think is holding us back from going after power 4 schools and BB’s?
Here’s what’s holding us back. Gundy explicitly stated he didn’t use NIL money to recruit with going into last year. That combined with a bland offense and D3 defense couldn’t attract that level of transfer talent. This year, he decided to try to recruit those guys, but he’s coming off an 0-9 conference season and was going into a lame duck year with mediocre, has-been assistants. If you are a high-end transfer, why choose OSU? Both of those are directly attributable to the current head coach, and not to the available $$$ which other than TCU and Tech isn’t that much different than the other programs in our conference.
