OSU gave up a 16-point first half lead.
Wow. That was one of the most pathetic goddamn second half performances I’ve seen. Horrendous reffing but wouldn’t have made much of a difference since they can’t hit FTs worth a shiit anyways. Up 16 at one point. Anderson isn’t back. Running the offense through Ice does not work. Total collapse of epic proportions. Where are the timeouts? Multiple times they needed to call one but nothing. Seat is warming up in my opinion.

I try my best not to blame any OSU coaches, but when you get run out in the 2nd half, it’s always about the coaching and halftime adjustments. This team hasn’t had an identity since Coach Eddie. I’m all for giving Coach B through next season, but that’s as long as I can stand this.
Being a great recruiter does nothing if you don’t have a system to implement. Please bring back someone that understands the importance of rebounding, free throws, defense, and a patient offense…not dribble around and jack up a 3
Can’t shoot FT’s, high amount of TO’s and fouls, long scoring droughts, nothing we haven’t seen over the last 5 years.
Absolute street ball mentality on offense. Do we even practice free throws?

Boynton is Capel 2.0. No repercussions for bad play, turnovers, poor shooting selection, not moving the ball…so on and so on. I want Likekele to come off the bench and moncrieffe to stop bringing the ball up the court. He can’t dribble.

Yeah Boynton definitely needs a talking to. They aren’t going to fire him for this season though. I would say if he doesn’t see significant progress after next season they should give him the boot.

What do you mean? I would like for anyone here to find anything about me saying Boynton was straight up better than Gundy. I believe I said give the guy until after next season. If he doesn’t meet the expectation then send him on his way.
I agree he gets next season. After that onto the next coach if expectations aren’t met. Keep him as an assistant for recruiting if possible.

This game was lost because of a few things. It wasn’t the refs. The players fell for shot fakes right and left. If you leave your feet they will take advantage and did. The turnovers was probably the biggest factor along with not shooting baskets.
Why would it be? We won our first tournament game in 12 years. Add to the fact that we played sixteen top 25 teams last season and went 10-6 in those contests. You really think Boynton should get the boot after that?
No, I didn’t think Boynton should get the boot after that, but I also didn’t think Gundy should get the boot last season like you petitioned for.
Gundy finished 7th in the nation this year, so, if your being honest with yourself, your petition to have him fired was impulsive and unwise. You have been backing Boynton fairly heavily all season until now. I do agree with you he should get another season and next year there needs to be significant progress. I would say significant progress is either make the tournament or pack your bags. Do you think Boynton is capable of finishing 7th in the nation? If he did would you ride him as hard as you did Gundy all season?

I don’t necessarily understand why he gets a pass on this season’ sure it was wrong what the ncaa did but 20 games in and we’ve regressed ? All I heard about was all the talent coming in from the portal and what we had returning. If he has to have a #1 pick to have a decent team it has me concerned on his coaching ability. We only lost one player from last years team.
Gundy has been here 17 years and it’s only the 2nd time he’s ever finished in the top 10. Don’t you think we should be winning a conference title more often that once every 17 seasons? So Gundy went 12-2 this season. That’s cool!! Let’s just say he does go 6-6 next season? Do you critique him at all? Or are you one of the people that’s like “Well at least we’re going to our 17th straight bowl game!!!”?
No administration is going to fire a dude less than one year removed from a 21-9 finish. Yes his teams should be doing better this season offensively. He needs to let’s his players know they suck at three point shooting and will never be any good at it.
While the offense sucks and we can’t hit the backside of a barn there are still a few positives with this team. They play good defense normally and they don’t get blown out. They just need to realize offensively they aren’t the Golden State Warriors.
Never said fire him, I said I don’t get why he gets a pass. He hasn’t done a very good job this year whether it’s motivational related or not.
