Honestly pretty smart of him. He’s gonna get paid more and not have to live in that shithole known as Norman. Easy conference to win. OU fans aren’t gonna put up with not winning the conference every year which won’t happen in the SEC. I think he would’ve had them at top 2-3 pretty much every year but after watching the tears last night that ain’t enough for them.

I don’t see why lsu doesn’t. He is a good fit in alot of ways. The main way he won’t hit on the coeds.

Is this the decline of all mighty OU?
I guess Riley is hoping he can rebuild USC in a few years via the transfer portal. He prefers being a big fish in a small pond. Or else he just prefers the big bucks. Does Gundy now go to Chad to tear up his contract for bigger bucks? If we make it to the playoffs I bet he knocks on Chad’s door.
NFL will be knocking on Knowles’ door, as will Lincoln Riley, I assume. There will be quite a line in front of that door. Open the treasure chest Chad, call upon your big donors to keep that man. At least Riley did not lie about not going to LSU.
Watch Urban Meyer. This looks like a prime Meyer spot, he’s getting killed in Jacksonville and that’s a terrible franchise, he’s had a lot turmoil already and I don’t think he’s a NFL coach. OU is a top 3 job in CFB with a stud young QB, would not shock me at all if after the year he leaves and comes to Norman.
There was a reason he left Florida. To get away from the sec. He had a limp pee pee at Florida. It works fine in Columbus. Why go back to limp pee pee.

Riley’s coaching style doesn’t fit the SEC. Riley wants to be king of the mountain which won’t happen in the SEC but can happen at USC in the Pac12. No brainer. Hope OkState can capitalize even further on local recruiting while OU’s stock is chaotic.

He’s going to have to get paid handsomely more to move to that shithole of a socialist state. Taxes alone going to eat up just shy of 20% more of his salary than at OU.
