Her laugh is what’s cringy, but rest assured that’s not even a thought I have for not voting for her.

What, the Jesus Lizard’s not doing it for you?

I’m not sure exactly what you had in mind, but here goes:

I’ll take cringy laugh over racism, violence inciting rhetoric, general stupidity, and pure selfishness most days of the week.

The Democrat party has provided us with incessant “violence inciting rhetoric” the previous 8 years.

All of the political spectrum is guilty of violence inciting, racism, ect. They’re all corrupt. I can sit and find countless racist things done / said by the right, and by the left. It’s politics. Loyalties blind people from one side or the other.

It’s the same thing as us OSU fans saying “he’s just a kid, he made a mistake” when Ollie got arrested for DUI but making fun of OU’s Burks when he got arrested for the exact same thing just one month prior to that. Loyalty / fandom removes neutrality. Part of human nature.

Don’t remember a democratic party representative’s speech leading to a bunch of Gravy Seals breaking into a government establishment…

YES!!! That’s definitely one!!

Biden: Time to put Trump in the bullseye —- soon followed by an assassination attempt

Schumer (to “Gorsuch” and “Kavanaugh”): You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price —- another assasination attempt…on a sitting SC Associate Justice

Rep. Ayanna Pressley: There needs to be unrest in the streets. Well, congratulations we got it.

Maxine Waters: If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gas station, you get out and create a crowd. And you push back on them.

And your beloved new candidate no one voted for…literally, has been vocal on multiple occasions supporting the protests (Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, etc), that they weren’t going to stop and that she stands with the protesters.

Well I do remember Kamala Harris staunchly supporting the BLM riots - which were actually more deadly (25 deaths). She event contributed to their bail outs from jail, which is pretty cringe. Then there was this beauty which was nowhere “peaceful and patriotic”…

“Everyone should take note of that, on both levels, that they’re not going to let up — and they should not. And we should not,” Kamala concluded.

@OSUgrad summed it up correctly - the politicians for both the Democrats and Republicans are guilty of poor rhetoric that can incite violence by loons who will use any excuse.

Does this include the deaths that lead to the riots? People being regularly killed by police doesn’t really equal big baby man not getting the election result he wanted.

Some of the jailed were involved in regular nonviolent protest so who knows if those bailed were violent or not. Yet they all get bundled together because of perception.

really grasping on this one. Could use this quote for any discourse.

Sure, but the two candidates currently available have vastly different levels of antagonizing speech used.

aaaand this little discussion came from me saying that would accept a cringy laugh over the multiple issues Trump brings to the table. Kinda brings it home how brainwashed people are into demonizing one side or the other rather than focusing more on actual issues real people are trying to overcome each day.

Weird how none of these quotes are from a current candidate.

except for these,

“when the looting starts, the shooting starts”

“We will immediately stop all of the pillaging and theft. Very simply: If you rob a store, you can fully expect to be shot as you are leaving that store”

Come on. This is a huge reach. EVERYONE knew what he meant here and claiming it influenced Cooks is ridiculous. He said it, what, 3 days before the attempt? It’s definitely didn’t directly incite it.

Never actually attempted the assassination. Turned himself in beforehand. Plus he stated it was about the overturning of Roe, so strike 2.

The other 3, whatever. I’ve heard similar stuff from both sides. I don’t see this level as inflammatory from either side. Harris “standing with protesters” is better in my book than trump “standing with white supremacists” in Virginia.

What a hypocritical comment, LOL. We were having fun with memes and you came here and threw a grenade and then complained because there was pushback. Cry me a river  :sob:

I believe I said “Democrat party”, which last time I checked Kamala Harris is a part of, including the last 3 1/2 years supporting the President your party no longer wants. But that’s okay, Kamala’s record and her words will very soon be disclosed for all of the undecided voters to see. At that point they will realize that not only is she an unpopular progressive and a liar, but also the 4 years under Trump actually wasn’t as bad as they thought. The sky didn’t fall. The border was a lot more under control and at least 3 innocent Americans were still alive at that time. Russia wasn’t invading Ukraine. Grocery and gas prices were not through the roof. Hamas, through Iran, wasn’t butchering innocent Jewish citizens. We could keep going with this, but unfortunately you’d rather vote for a toaster than Donald Trump, and if we gave you some of Traber’s truth syrum I’d bet the primary reason would be because you vote on emotion regarding how he makes you feel rather than admitting his policies actually didn’t kill this country or you.

Well most people were having fun. 2 people decided to take a jab and bring up something irrelevant.

Cracks me up how conveniently you all gloss over a global pandemic when knocking the economy and propping up trump.

What about it? He didn’t cause that, and despite Fauci being a part of his initial team, after Trump was gone Fauci and Biden basically shut the country down unnecessarily. Sorry bud, that ain’t on Trump.

@OSUgradndad85 and I were having fun with the meme thing. It was “one of your own” that took the first literal jab. Don’t throw a punch if you can’t take one back?

FWIW, I never get “angry” about whatever takes are in here with which I disagree. I push back on takes, but I’m not angry. Sometimes you can’t tell that when in a forum. So I just wanted to state that. I hope that’s how others feel too (not literally angry about a political discussion) given the 2 choices we have at the top are not who most of us would choose as our first choices.

Pick an argument and stick with it. Either apply the same logic to Trump’s 1/6 comment where he was VERY clear protests should be peaceful, and it’s all right there on the video, OR, agree with me on this and lump Trump in with the same argument. Pick one.

Agreed. There’s no anger behind any of it, just passion. People need to stop worrying about how things make them feel and just deal with the substance of it all head on.
