Knowles is a Buckeye.

Guess the university wasn’t as serious as I thought they were about the big time football Gundy was mentioning. Glad the sheer incompetence of the offense wasted this defense that we won’t see again.

I’m sure Gundy in all his infinite wisdom will promote from within, and we’ll have our Kasey Dunn caliber DC. So that maybe we can enjoy watching a chit show on both sides of the ball in the years to come.

If anyone thought he was staying after interviewing at Illinois last year they’re delusional like Gundy. That seemed like a red flag.

Being completely honest, Ohio state just has more money than Oklahoma does, even if we doubled his salary to 1.6 mil. The buckeyes could offer 2 mil easy. First Yurcich now Knowles, Ohio State just likes what we are doing in Stillwater.

So you think Ohio State doesn’t like conference titles and NY6 bowl wins?

Yurcich knew his end was coming. He wasn’t even their OC. This hurts though.

I have a feeling Joe Bob Clements will be promoted up to DC.

Knowles wants to win championships and knows it ain’t happening here. Second best defense in the country and still couldn’t win the Big 12. Absolute shame this defense didn’t get the offense they deserved.

Every great coordinator we get leaves or is run off. I guess we’ll never take that next step. I find it hard to believe as much money that is ran through the program we can’t afford to pay more. We’ve got some rich donors. I feel like our program is being held hostage sometimes. At times I’m glad I didn’t walk on but wish I did. I would had played under 2 or 3 D.C.'s and multiple assistants. Some of us really like consistency, tradition, and coaching prestige.

If Ohio st is hiring your DC them you are doing well. We will replace him.

Actually I take that back. I’m waiting for Gundy to come out with a press conference to announce himself as the new DC. That way he doesn’t have to fork money over to another coach.

Everyone does. I read a lot of other schools forums they like a lot of our staff and players. Some Texas longhorn fans were commenting saying they like our receivers and should target some of the commits.

Oh well here’s hoping the school doesn’t just sit on their hands on the next hire. I would love for them to go all out on someone like Joe Rossi who helped Minnesota have the 4th best defense in the nation. His current salary is only $650k so that should easily be within our price range.

Okstate dropped the ball big time. As soon as Okstate cracked the top 10, they should have given him a big extension and salary raise around 2.5 mil. Now we have a sucky OC and no DC. It is mind blowing how the athletic department works at Okstate.

Guess it will be back to another 10 years of rebuilding and mediocrity until we get to another big12 championship. I wonder how many of the super seniors will return now.

This was more depressing than losing the Big 12 championship game.

Well Glen Spencer is available since GT canned him. There ya go!!!

Assuming some other blue blood doesn’t snatch him that’s not a bad idea.

I’m curious to see how many of the defensive players who were supposedly coming back next year will actually do so.
