“Being the 4th best team last year”. They beat the 2nd best team by 30+ last year. Fool
Don’t know where this discussion is going but I think it is a safe bet that if the CFP remains at 4 teams OU’s appearances in the CFP will be less frequent once they are in the SEC, But OU’s fans can be consoled by the fact that OU is getting the big money even though they will be missing from the big boy’s table that is the CFP more often than not. Also I didn’t see Doug Gottlieb’s comments but it sounds like he thinks that OU made a (pardon my french) dic*k move with this SEC thing. If that’s the case I would say that Doug is far from alone in thinking that.
I’d really like to see the list of 7 schools that would be better than OU.
Half their defense was gone. And that was not the second best team FOOL.
Bowl games r always weird I remember bosie laying one on u.
Playing weekly in the sec will be different.
Anybody in the sec
I don’t disagree with OU’s final 4 appearances going down as the revenue goes up. Completely agree. My question to you, who seems like a good honest fan.
What HONESTLY do you think OSU would’ve done if they were given the opportunity to go to the SEC? Would they have accepted it?
Do you think the powers that be @OU made efforts to get OSU included in the deal to the SEC?
Once it became apparent that OSU was not going to be included, do you think OU should have declined the invitation?
Florida played Bama in the SEC title game. So for all intents and purposes, they were the 2nd best team
Come on Roberto. Name the seven better teams. I’m curious.
Logan oh boy u really amaze me.
If I want to say ou is the 7th then I can.
If u have nothing to do until ur boss needs u to type a letter play a game
Well that sounds good did ou rank higher then all but 1 sec teams this year.
“I don’t disagree with OU’s final 4 appearances going down as the revenue goes up. Completely agree. My question to you, who seems like a good honest fan”
Answer: The questions that you ask are all conjecture so no one, even the decision makers could know unless faced with the actual decision. I will give my opinion since you asked
"What HONESTLY do you think OSU would’ve done if they were given the opportunity to go to the SEC? Would they have accepted it? "
Answer: Well it’s my understanding that OU approached the SEC to join them not the other way around. I doubt that OSU as done the same. Also OSU seems to be in good shape financially and all of OSU’s teams are mostly headed in the right direction so based on that I doubt that they would have tried to move to the SEC.
Do you think the powers that be @OU made efforts to get OSU included in the deal to the SEC?
Answer: No I don’t believe that they did although It could have come up in the talks, Makes me wonder though if OU had pressed the SEC to take OSU and was ultimately rejected wouldn’t they present the case that they tried to get OSU included?
Once it became apparent that OSU was not going to be included, do you think OU should have declined the invitation?
Answer:As I said before I don’t believe that they tried to get OSU included. As for the decision to join the SEC or not that depends on their reasons for moving, I will say that they could have done more, communications wise, to soften the blow but instead chose to sneak around everyone’s back working the deal with the SEC, doing things in violation of their B12 contracts, being complicit in the attempts by ESPN to destroy the B12 and who knows what else. OU had to know that the impacts of what they were doing was going to have negative impacts far and wide across the college sports (not just football) world and the way they went about things it tells me and likely many other people that they could care less.
Funny how you say I have nothing to do when you have 5x the posts as everyone else on here.
All good 1 thing u left out , Texas.
They went in to the sec with Texas. They just didn’t happen upon the same idea and bump into each other at the sec headquarters. Ou say" what u doing here".
Texas " same as u screwing the big 12."
U have neither quantity or quality.
My post are read, giggled at or in ur case cry about.
Ur’s get ar0 and joey to like every once in a while.
No being the triad of stupidity is not a good look for u.
I asked you if OSU were given the chance to join the SEC, as in the SEC offered them a spot in the Conf…….would OSU accept? You said you doubt that they would’ve tried to move to the SEC. I’m not 100% clear on whether that’s a YES or NO. But……I’ll answer that for you….YES. They, like any other program in the country, would’ve accepted the invitation to join the most lucrative Conf in the land.
You asked “wouldn’t they present the case that they tried to get OSU included?” I think OU has said that, in a round about way. Joe C said “the opportunity to continue this partnership moving into the new Conf did not present itself”. Bob Stoops said “we tried last 10 years ago, but this time it wasn’t possible”. I agree that it’s conjecture. I feel like overtures were made about bringing OSU along. How adamant? I have no idea. I don’t think obviously it was enough of an effort that was successful. But I do feel like it was broached.
Here is tomato slice. Dude I sleep with ur girlfriend sorry u would have sleep with mine rite. Hey were all good. I’m vindicated because I think u would have sleep with my girlfriend. Hey just because I drugged her, dnt count
“doing things in violation of their B12 contracts, being complicit in the attempts by ESPN to destroy the B12 and who knows what else.”
ESPN has refuted the allegations by Bowlsby. Again, conjecture. Depends on who people choose to believe; Bowlsby or ESPN.
“OU had to know that the impacts of what they were doing was going to have negative impacts far and wide across the college sports (not just football) world”
Why are Texas and OU being held to a different standard than any of the other schools who defected or joined Conf’s a decade ago? This move does have some negative impacts attached to it. But……it will also have positive ones as well. I get the OSU side. But I don’t think you or the majority of OSU fans are willing to see it from the OU side. You just don’t like OU. I get it. But that shouldn’t keep you from being able to be objective.
“and the way they went about things it tells me and likely many other people that they could care less”
Yeah that again is just conjecture as well. The people in charge at these universities are charged with doing what they feel is best for the school/program long term. Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, A&M made those decisions 10-12 years ago & now so have OU & Texas. It is selfish……which is what they’re charged with doing. My job is to take care of my family. While I’m cognizant of everybody else, I still have to do what’s best for my family long term.
I know deep down u know ou u sinned. We can’t give u absolution. U need a priest. If , being the devil spawn, u can walk into a church.
Who do we believe espn or fill in the blank. I will believe any name in that blank.
Stoops knows riley will never win a natty so he wants to keep in the eyes of his beloved fans.
Switzer did not come down so nice as stoop on the move.
U know we know it was chicken chit ou did.
Your posts are not even laughable anymore. Just moronic rants that do your fan base more harm than good
Yea good point, I’m sure that there are others as well. My typing fingers get tired what can I say lol
